  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • Well I suppose it was back in '85 with the C64. A friend had one so there you
    go...

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • Oh.. :-) A C64 (only with tapedrive mind you), A500, then another A500 (newer
revision) wich i put a 68010 in and clocked to a whopping 14,28 Mhz!!! After
that I got an A2000 with a 030 card. Sold it in favor of my trusty old A3000
which I still have today :-). (with 180Mhz Cyberstorm 604/040 card buildt into
an old IBM server tower case).

Sadly not much used theese days I'm afraid. I have also had lots of PC boxes,
not really worth mentioning. I mainly used the Amigas for ProTracking. But of
course I have tried about everything worth doing on an Amiga. (Assembly
Programming, C++, Gfx, Raytracing, the works).

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • I suppose it was the most fun thing to do :-).

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • Oh, I've tried them all! But always went back to ProTracker. Never did care
much for MIDI sequencers. Altough I own an Yamaha XG box these days I still
haven't got the knack of them. Someone PLEASE! Make a good tracker with good
    midi support!

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • Tough one.. I don't really remember anymore, so long ago :-). But I can tell
you this: I was Super productive back then, only a small fraction of the stuff
I made was used in any demos. Then again only a fraction of that again was
    "finished".

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • Yeah, can't remember the name but there was one the Razor guys used in an
Intro, with I for the life of me can't understand why. Think it was
"Goldrunner", a C64 ripoff wich took about 2 hours to make.

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • In that respect demos and games are just like movies.
Imagine films like Gladiator, Days of Thunder, LOTR and Trainspotting with
a crappy score? If you have crappy music, it just drags the whole production
    down with it.

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Nope, no composing anymore. I just play around with my midi keyboard, but never
recording anything. Altough I want to I never get around to it.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • Well not much really. It's all just "real" music, don't think about it much.
Personally I listen to just about anything. But I still get a Nostalgia-trip
out of the good old modules!

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • Don't remember spesifics. Basically big fan of stuff by Jogeir, Walkman, Chris
Huelsbeck, Hubbard, Croon (No Limits), K. Obarski. You know, the classics.
Hmm.. Right here's one: Overture by Jogeir Liljedal.

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • With that stuff? Seriously NOT!

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • At the moment: Turbonegro, Queens of the Stoneage, Nightwish, Foo Figthers,
    Malossi and Span.

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • For one thing: A living :-). I work as an consultant these days. (Hired gun).
Mosty work with Java programming, advanced infrastructure and Oracle stuff.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • Nah.. Stopped that when all the gamers flooded the "party's". The good old
days are just that: Good OLD days ;-)

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Well, Hi to anyone whom I met back in the active days. Also to my brother
(Radiance) who is infinetly better at tracking than I ever was :-). I suppose
if I sat my ass down with ProTracker today, my songs would still sound
"oldstyle". Maybe I'll try some day when in need of a real nostalgia trip!
Until then, Live long and prosper!
