    Handle: Kanewood (exhandle T.N.O - The Neutro Ouforized ! ;) wow )

Group: Anonym on cpc (1987-1990), Arkham since 1990 on atari and a1200

    Date of birth: 07/06/75

  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • My real interest begins with the first image i saw from 5 axes (thegame) on
cpc (1984). It was really a great games with medium res / smooth animation /
    good sfx / digitized sounds

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • My first machine was a old monobloc commodore - a Pet i guess - with 4 Kb of
memory... It was an arcade like invaders on it ! :)

My first demomaking machine was my cpc 464 but due to the low speed of the
tape, i only start to demomake when my parents bought me a disk reader.

There was a lot of incredible stuffs on cpc .. logons system, waikiki bros ...
etc.. Overscan / raster / ripped music / crazy screen...

After it was time to get an atari... normal evolution for amstrad owners...
Atari was for me the first touch with home music computers... I discovers
Protracker... My favour tracker ever !

i done a lot of mods... But less were used in atari demo... due to lamme audio
capacity of sound chip... but in edition, ste was great (44khz stereo)

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • Music ever interest me... One of my friends, tchoom, was better coder than me...
The gfx was hand made by the coder (real!:) )

There was no design only purecode !

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • Protracker on ST was my best partner... even if mods were used on amiga ! :)
When i bought my amiga, i discovers protracker "original version" wich was
really powerfull... ste trackers was betas software...

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • AFINIR.MOD is my first mod...Im proud of it ! :) I never reach my goal...
Sometimes on a little part of a song...

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For What reason?

  • A lot of my tunes used in demos was really lamme ! :(
It must be the Coder's taste ?

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • The demomusic is one part of the demo, give the rythm... A good tune can make
a good demo... but not without a good code part...

Gfx makes the difference between good demo and excellent demo...

If the tunes is ugly you can pump down the volume...

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Sometimes... for friends (ninja/scoopex) or for music compos....

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • It removes the technical inconvenient of 4 tracks... But the goal of a musictune
is to make ever better (quality) ... so mp3/midi in demo is an evolution...

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • "Bubble Bobble" Peterclarke
All songs from scavenger, jess, madmax (on st)
Tip and mantronix, jester (stardust memories) songs
    moby, lizardking, heatbeat...

they are too many to be in the list !!! :))

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • No time.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • Chemicals bros, DAftpunk, iron maiden, acdc, fluke etc...

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • A lot of friends and experience with impressive peoples !

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • Occasionnally... the next objectiv = building arkham homepage... and sharing
my mods over the net... to keep them alive !

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Regards to all my friends : Tchoom, ninja, boz, fax, pyrofyre, easy, modsquad,
kan, greg, chuck, the people of the ex-hydroxyd (artoax, killer,etc...)

And ,of course, you ! :)
