  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • It started around 1983 when the Apple IIe was introduced in our school, of
    course
I could never afford an Apple and it would be some years before I would
    own my first computer.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • Amiga 500 - Became spare parts for an A2000
Amiga 3000UX - Packed away and it still works
    Amiga 4000 - See A3000UX
Commodore 64 - Gave it away
Commodore 128 - I still have it and it works except for the 1571 drive
    that came with it

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • I have always had an interest in music, I came from a musical background
    and play a variety of
instruments. I had an interest in coding, the problem was that I had
    nobody to learn from or
tell me what tools I required.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • Protracker and Soundtracker

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • None of them. I think all of my music was basically crap. I learned fairly
quickly that I was much better at writing chiptunes and I had more fun
    with them,
my favourite was the tune used in the no shame Cydonia demo.

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • Basically every single one of them :)

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • Music has little or no value if the composition does not fit
    the demo.

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • No, I play a lot of guitar but that's as far as it goes nowadays.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • I dont like midi at all and I think most of the reason has to do with
the interfaces to write score, PT had such a straight forward interface and
it was easy to lay down tracks. Midi doesn't track very well with synth
guitar and there are always latency issues. Mpegs and waves
used in todays games have their place but they are very expensive memory
and storage wise if that format is used for music.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • My favourite tune is from an old c-64 game called Thing on a Spring.

Pretty much every tune from Rob Hubbard and Martin Galway

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • Never, they're not good enough.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • Steve Morse band, The Dixie Dregs & Dream Theatre.

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • Great memories and friends from all over the world.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • No, unfortunately.

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • I don't think anybody would remember me :)
