  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • I started when I was above 12 years old. I remember my first computer was
Commodore Vic 20. Ive been following the growing technology in computers
related stuff since this 1984/85 years.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • As I said previously I owned a Vic20 then I got many different well-known
    models like atari 800xl , C64 , Atari 520stf , Amiga500 , Amiga1200, then I
switched to pc because of Amiga collapse. During many years ive kept both
Amiga&PC at home, I've still an amiga1200 but I dont use it anymore since
WINUAE on PC rocks. I had different uses of these computers other than
composing musics for several teams in 90's. One of the must funny use was
blueboxing ( i've got busted 3 times by the feds). Phreaking through computers
was so great!! Other uses were more usual as retrieving all kind of stuff like
games,hacking/phreaking infos through BBS networks all around the planet before
internet come. My greetings go to every sysops, thanks, the great of 90's story
would be never happened. Another special yadayada to Scavenger who coded the
great Scavenger dialer to bluebox with PCs.

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx,
  • coding?

I end up composing musics because I had to make a choice between making cash
from it or other business. I think I was not good enoug to become a real composer.
Looking backward I ve made the good choice :)

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • I was using 2 programs : SIDMON and Protacker. I've made my first tries with
the famous Karsten Obarski soundtracker at the very begining on Amiga500.

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • The last ones were very good, but they have never been posted I think (I
have still several ones saved on my HD ). BTW, I think the good time was
composing musics with BKH who's not dead. Because when you work with someone
    else its much more dynamic.

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • Aah yeah a lot , all the bad ones during the "first tries period" something
around 1991/92. I dont know how its possible but I can find some of them posted
on several amiga oldies sites. Its crazy! Shame on me!

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • I think everybody's agree to say it's essential. Synchronisation between
animations and sounds cannot be ignored! To my opinion, we can regret is that
musicians aren't so good considered as they should be about the hard work they
    do and the cash earnt!

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • 100% OUT !

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • The format of compression has no link with a good work :) If the compo is
great everykind of format is good to use, isn't it ? Or may I wrong understood
    the question?!

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • Well, i'd say Aces High, the stolen data 10 music if I well remember,
transcore.mod and some others but I dont know if they have been spreaded. Some
musics done with Sidmon like psychedelic and the crack tune for SkidRow ( I
dont remember the name, I made only one for them )

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • Why not. I've never thought about this. But who could be interested in ?
    hehe

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • Too many to list them all. Let's say for a few : Methods of mayhem, The
white Stripes, The rapture, Bang Gang, Pplacebo , Nine Inch Nails, Square pusher,
Aphex twins,Crytal method, Radiohead and many many others...

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • Many contacts through BBS, people encountered at parties some of them are
still friends of mine nowdays, many great experiences (including busts by the
feds regarding phreaking, I got scared and under pressure but adrenaline reached
its max level hehe ), a lot of ideas about my current business activities. Its
like a continum I cant say what the Amiga scene brought me in details but
surely its a very very large part of what iam and doing currently.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • No, iam not.

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • I would greet everybody I met in the past. I just wonder know what
Spycatcher (Christopher Curry ) and Maximilan ( Maximilien Louarn ),
Audiomonster, Ronan, le p'tit renaud & Walt become nowdays.
If anyone has some infos about them, feel free to contact me through ICQ,thanks.
