  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • In 1988 I had strange computer - Partner (russian computer Which made our
radio-factory in my city) It was the large piece of shit.. :) he-he There there
was only mode the pseudo-diagrams (textmode)!

In 1991 a friend of mine told me about Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48K computer..
and I was shocked (I never saw something similar to it. And it was wonderful
    and drew to itself)

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • 1991 - Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48K computer - only for games (with my tape)

1992 - ZX Spectrum "Pentagon-128K" - I began to write in music editor

In 1992 I started my activity on Zx-Spectrum platform, I organized Atomic
Destruction Group (ADG), and started to write music. Approximately in 1994
I began to work on Amiga platform in Pro-tracker. Then in 1995 I went to army.
In army I worked on 486Dx in FT2 without active sound system, but with BEEPER!!,
and wrote my modules. Approximately in 1997 I changed a title of my group to
Atomic Destruction music studio (AtD). In 1999 I come from the army and start
to work in the computer company NOL. Now i have a good computer (i can have
anything PC-hardware, and software too i think) and write my music again.
My favorite styles: slash fantasy style, trance, techno and remix.

Now in my group there are three persons :
I am Slash (the main organizator, music maker and writer),
Dave aka Filyaev Valery (code (not active now))
and Steve Gibson aka Kaplunov Oleg (3d animation, 3d graphic (not active now)).

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • I began to be engaged in music since four years
and i like to write some of my ideas in music
and I loved the tracker programs when they came
    first

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • Protracker on the Amiga, Fasttracker 2 for the PC.
    and BUZZ for the PC.

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • As one man has written:
"As cliche as this may sound, I don't think I have ever reached my goal of
of total satisfaction. Hopefully I will never reach that goal, because if I
did, I would lose that feeling of struggling for improvement."
    I agree with him! :)

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • I don't think I have any tune like that really. Ofcourse there are alot of
tunes that I think stinks, but I guess most of them has some kind of value
to me or a certain memory attached with it, some memory from the old days

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • without music, everything would suck BUT!
Music should supplement demo and games, as well as of the games and
demo should supplement music. They should be one whole!

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Yep I am! Both :))))
Sometimes I try to write professional (As it seems), Sometimes leisure purposes ;)

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • Odd question. I think good music can be produced on any format, there's no
doubt about that. The scene has proved it over and over again.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • music by e-maxx! i like it very much!!!

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • I would would like by it to engage but i have not free time and money :(

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • JAN HAMMER - first of all!!!
    Alice Cooper
    Guns N'Roses
    Ozzy Osborne

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • a lot of interesting many friends, knowledge
Scene does not give to die to my soul

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • i think - yes :)
