  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • It was the big interest about all new technology. I bought my first
    Computer in 1986.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • I had a c64 and the first time i am only interest to play computer games.

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • As little child i was already enthusiastic to play on my grandfathers piano.
In this time i am falling in love to make music.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • In first Chris Hülsbecks SOUNDMONITOR on the C64, two years later
Karsten Obarskis SOUNDTRACKER on the Amiga

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • i hobe with my next scores :-)

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • "Sleepwalker" form SLL because this arrangement have a beautiful melody

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • Just like the movie-goer, the player of a computer game is interested in
delving deeper into the character, his avatar. No doubt that gameplay and
graphics and soundfx do the bulk of work here. They alone, however, don't
offer the emotional texturing that really drags the player into the game.
Music is the factor here, that ties everything together into a single
    emotional experience.

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • yes and you are welcome to visit my homepage www.gellrich-music.com

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • --

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • Good friends, many fun and these interview! :-)
