    Date of birth: 15 . 02 . 1974

  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • When first vic20's came to market, I thought as many young boys that they are
    pretty cool.

My parents did bought some time later for me and my bigbrother Spectravideo 328.
    Perhaps it was around 1983.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • Spectravideo 328
    Commodore 128
    Amiga 500
    Amiga 1200
    Pc 486
    Pentium III
    Athlon xp-xxx

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • Because I was such fan of synth music of that time, like Jarre, Vangelis and
    Jan Hammer

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • Hmm.. I did start music with amiga 500 at 1988.. Soundtracker, protracker

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • Well, I think my first feeling of some success was bionicslide.mod for amiga
at 1990. Then 91 I was quite happy with Starbalance. But actually only few
years back I did make one module with pc/fasttracker I was very satisfied
like the way I always wanted to be..its not released even anywhere.

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • Many tunes becosue they were such bad ones, or then I remember those bads
and just smile and think that I had thosetimes kind of pure attitude and
passsion for music I am sometimes missing today.

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • Its like good spice which keeps some excitenes alive..it may bring some
life for game or demo but bad demo with excellent track is stil bad demo.
But if game or demo is good enough with excellent track the whole demo/game
    may feel really really good.

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Yes I am, both.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • I think the situation today is marvelous becosue you can make really really
cutting edge stuff with such a low budget. Lets say there are less and less
    excuses.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • Uncle Toms 'Spell Amelaration' or what was it, I think its just super.
That same style could rock today with better sound.

Walkman's 'klisje pa klisje" Again excellent stuff.

    Many Heatbeat's modules.

    Captain's spacedebris and beyondmusic.

Skaven's endtrack at second reality demo.

Yes and then also, !Cubes many assembly composogs from last years,
VERY NICE MELODIES. That guy have some passion in his music.

There are so much good stuff made in pc and amiga scene afterall.

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • Nope.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • Hmm..movie soundtracks, smoothjazz internet radio, trying to hunt music like
    Fluke makes.

Not order..and not listening many of them anymore, but that stuff I have liked a lot
    in my life.

Lots of soundtracks, Matrix, LOTR, Jerry GoldSmith, ALan Silvestri, Hans Zimmer.
Survivor, Sting, Some stuff by Michael Jackson ( beat it etc older stuff)
Kingston Wall, Fluke, Kula Shaker, Few excellent songs by finnish band 'Aikakone'
Omni Trio, Pink Floyd, Delerium, Beatles , Rolling Stones, Guns Roses, Bon Jovi haha,
Dire Straits, VANGELIS, Hallucinogen, forget too many again..

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • Lots of right attitude which doesnt respect average things too much at all and
some understanding that you can do marvelous things with some serious trying,
faith that almost anybody can develope themselves to very good at almost any
skill of life without any official education if you have some passion and time
    for it.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • Nope, , I am not sure if I am still member of Byterapers, I did rejoin there
few years back but Grendel did ever added me to them memberlist at theyr site.
Actually, I hope they would sometimes make some bigger demo, I would be happy
to make some mp3 song there.

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Greetings goes to Lasse, Nico, Proton and others I know in Byterapers.
I am very happy that many byteraper guyes have gave my much faith for me
to keep making music during years.

Something to say..well, I think the amiga scene itself was quite amazing years
  • 89-93, actually quite a phenomenom. People was serious at those
  • times with scene, and ok, its childish kind of, but..still the scene worldwide
at those times was really its own closed world with really deep "culture".
I didnt visited last assembly , but last years I have been there I have just
noticed that the scene has changed so .hmm..well, people are not so serious.

Look al handles and groups, way too much of joke names, joke everything. I
think its afterall very boring to make it all big joke.

I think people of Remedy entertainment made the old scene dream true,
they did make worldclass hit game(s) and lots of cash with skills got in scene.
I think that it just so marvelous.
