  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • It all started in 1984 when my father bought a Commodore Vic20. Knowing
nobody else to swap games with I started learning basic at the age of 10,
and later I learned 6502/6510 MC...

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • First I had the Commodore VIC-20, then came the Commodore 64 along, and now I
have two PC's... The VIC-20 was used for games and learning to program
assembler.. The Commodore 64 was used for demos, music and a few games...
I am using the PC for all kind of purposes, but we made a single demo in '94
called Lethal Display 5 (as far as I recall...). I have a Roland soundcard
and a midi keyboard that I play around with, but nothing seriously...

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • Well, actually I have done all of the above, and I must say that I found
making music on the Commodore 64 must fun... These days I mostly make small
tool programs on the PC, but I still write a bit of 6510 code on the
    Commodore 64...

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • Well, I started out with Sound Monitor, then I tried Future Composer but as
most other musicians I ended up with my own player/editor...

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • Nothing in particular comes to mind, I was never that good a musician and not
much of the tunes I created were ever used, it was more for the fun of doing
    it...

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • Some of the early Future Composer tunes =) Well a lot of them are out of tune
    and sound very bad =(

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • I think the music is very important in both games and demos, especially demos
is no fun without the music... In the beginning of the era of demomaking it
was popular to rip music from games and use them in the demos, so let's not
    underestimate its importance =)

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Not really, just playing around with my midi keyboard and having great fun =)

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • The various mixed tunes based on old Commodore 64 tunes is very cool, a lot
of the composers put a lot of effort in creating great mixes with respect to
the original tunes, keep up the good work!

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • Well, of course I've always liked Hubbards and Galways tunes (who doesn't?).
But I also listen to a lot of other great composers like JCH, Drax, Metal,
Johannes Bjerregaard, Paul-Jesper Olsen and all those I've forgotten =)

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • No, I have no plans, I don't think anybody would buy it =)

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • At the moment I'm currently listening to R.E.M, Pink Floyd, Peter Gabriel and
    Mike Oldfield...

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • The C64 Scene gave me a lot of great times and a lot of friends, and it is
nice to see that there are still a lot of dudes that keeps the C64 alive!
    Keep it up!!!

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • Well, sometimes I code a little, but it's hard to find great ideas...

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • I would like to greet all the Bonzai dudes and all the C64 sceners who keeps
    the C64 alive!
