  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • It all started when my big brother (5 years older than me) got himself a
Dragon 32. I often snaked into his room to enjoy myself with his precious
treashure, as I wasn't allowed to do so. A couple of years later the C=64 was
all over the world and I finally got one of them. I guess it all startet when
I was about seven years old or so.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • I have had these computers:

    - 3 C=64 which I used for playing games and basic programming.
    - 2 C=128 for programming / music composing.
    - Dragon 32, I just had to get one for the fun :-)
    - 1 CDTV (Amiga) for playing games, music composing and drawing.
    - 1 Amiga 1200 for playing games, music composing and drawing.
    - 4 Macintoshes for drawing and graphics.
    - 2 PC's for drawing, graphics and 3D modelling.

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • I started up hoping to become a fairly good coder, at the same time I fiddled
around with some trackers (MedPlayer) and figured out that making music was
really cool. I competed at a computer party in Norway (The Rendezvous) with a
tune and a picture (had try out Deluxeplaint also), and ended third with my
picture. From this moment I`ve laid my focus on graphics, and let the music
come second hand of my priority. I still write my own songs and stuff like
that on my guitars, and I`m hoping to start my own mini home studio just for
fun. Nothing more than that since graphic design and illustrations now are my
main thing, and what I do for a living, and what I enjoy doing.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • I'm a big fan of OctaMED, but I've done a couple of Soundtracker tunes also.
Guess some other more professioal program will be used if I start over again...
    Cakewalk etc...

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • Hmmm... I actually never made any good tunes, hehe. Maybe one that never have
been released (or finished), that was a mix of samples and MIDI for a mini-3D
space-movie I started on my Amiga long time ago... There was a couple of beats
there I was quite satisfied with...

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • To be honest I'm not actually proud of ANY of my tunes, I'm a graphician! :-)

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • I appreciate alot of changes during the song, that the music builds up over a
certain amount of time, that it does dramatic turns and smooth transitions.
I'm not a huge fan of house-techno-rap etc, so anything but this appeals to me...

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Yep... Or... I compose my own songs on guitar, planning to do my own digital
recordings and adding drums, bass etc. Just for fun as I'm too shy to do
anything else out of it, and I don't see any point in doing more out of it
anyway. I'm WAY over my head with competition out there, alot og great, musical
    dudes.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • I like MIDI alot, becouse the better epqipment you have, the better the sound
gets! But I like converting midi, mod etc. to wave to keep the music as it
shall be, to avoind changes. Not too cool spreading MIDI files and knowing
that people are using all kinds of sound cards.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • I'm a BIG fan og Jeroen Tel, Rob Hubbard (C=64), Jester and all those classics.

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • Just for private use.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • Motorpsycho, The Pixies, Depeche Mode, Barbie Bones, Fugazi, Build to Spill,
Modest Mouse, and alot of other indie and alternative music. Guess not too many
of you have heard about the half of these...

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • It gave me alot of friends, alot of experience, and I'm involved in a computer
game together with a fellow GODS-member (and a bounch of others), and if this
goes the way we want, this can turn out to be something I can do for a living.
I has given me alot if I see it from that angle!

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • No, but my pictures are still beeing used. Sometimes pictures that are ment
for other pruposes are beeing used in the scene, with my premision ofcouse,
which I think is really great. My music have NEVER been used in any production,
so I just have to talk about my gfx.

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • I would like to greet all members of GODS, Darkage, old scene-friends and
contacts, and to my pals at the MMORPG game project, Darkfall.
