  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • That would've been in the early 80's. My older brother was writing assembly
    on the VIC-20 (making simple games)... I thought it was so cool that I
    eventually ended up learning the "hello world" of the 8-bits:

    10 PRINT "HELLO!"
    20 GOTO 10

    From there on it just kinda degenerated into 6502 and later on 68K assembly ;)


  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • Well I had a C64 of course, on which I made a few feeble attempts at
    making demos (coding, the music was ripped as was the standard, more or less,
    back then)... then on to the A500 where I did a bit of everything -
    or tried to at least - but mostly coding. I got hooked on making music
    around 1989... to be honest, I don't think anything I made was musically
    very good. But it was fun, and I did improve my skills over time.


  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • I didn't. I liked meddling around with all of it, with varying results.
    Music was just for fun, whereas I took coding more seriously (in the sense
    that I really wanted to be good at it)


  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • Hmm, Soundtracker, Noisetracker and Protracker I suppose. Can't remember
    if I used Noisetracker or Protracker most, but it must've been one of those
    two.


  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • I haven't been close yet :)


  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • Not really, I made music mostly because it was fun regardless of the result.


  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • Music is important in demos and games alike. Music is an excellent
    mood-setter, perhaps more-so than what can be achieved through visual
    means. One game that springs to mind as a good example is Quake1 - I pity
    all those who played its single-player mode without the soundtrack. The music
    is what made the single-player mode worthwhile!


  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • No, I'm not. I kinda miss it though!


  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • Music is music, regardless of medium. If it sounds good I don't really care
    what the medium is.


  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • Uncle Tom/Scoopex (Titan/Northstar) - most his tunes were quite stunning,
    and still are for that matter! Madness Took Me will always remain a favorite.

    Duz/S!P - some of his chip-like tunes are truly great, try downloading
    Glorytothebrave2 from AMP and you'll see what I mean. Backtotheroots5 works
    too! If you're not into chip-music, try InfluenceII or vivaldiedit!


  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • I am pleased to announce that I am NOT planning any such thing. Rejoice! :)


  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • Too varying to be specific here. It's ranging from punk to SID music.


  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • A big bunch of happy memories and a vast number of silly scroll texts to
    boot!


  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • No.


  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Ah! Greetings-time. Well, I would like to say this - if anyone knows
