Hi there!

My name is Theo Swartz, and I'm a 17 year old high-school student living on the East Coast of the U.S.

I came across AMP by perusing Curt Cool's website.  I consider myself to be more of a spectator of the demoscene than a participant (I'm only 17 anyway).  I enjoy researching chiptunes and their creators, and greatly admire such composers as 4-mat, Radix, Skaven and Curt Cool (currently listening to Skaven's 40-minute epic "Beyond the Network").

I did grow up with an Amiga in my early years, but used it for games (Top Hat Willy, Worms, Black Crypt), rather than creating music.  It stopped working around the time I started to play piano anyway. Sad I've experimented with many forms of music creation on my PC.  Recently I have been working with MilkyTracker and ModPlug Tracker to make experimental tunes, which have been pretty bad so far. Wink

This website seems really great and I hope I'm in the right place.  I don't know if this is just for "professional" composers, but if that's not the case I'd like to upload a few songs of my own in the future.  What are the guidelines for that?

Anyway, I hope to stick around.

Cheerfully,
 - TheoX

Wow! I didnt know our amigascene could attract younger generations, big surprise here! about your tunes: don't be afraid with objective quality, this place is more an encyclopedy than a hall of fame...
