As you may have noticed, AMP has now a new feature. Namely, "modinfo". Thanks to Monty who fought valiantly to display all this, we are now able to provide you with this neat feature. Though, only a couple of formats are supported (MOD, STK, FST, OKT, AHX, MTM, PTM, DMF and DIGI).
So, at module list level, a new "icon" on the far right shows 'info'. Clicking on it opens a new window which contains technical information about the file.

Also, the news displayed at AMP page level come now from the "announcement" topic forum. I understand the design doesn't agree with much people, but there's room to improvement. That's another thanks to Monty for fighting hard to get this working. Design reshape will probably be done anytime soon.

Asle, does it "read" THX also or are these two formats very different?

Didn't see this reply. Sorry. So yes, both AHX 1 and AHX 2 are supported. Version of the format is displayed in the upper part of the modinfo window.

All right. As you might have seen, modinfo feature comes with a "calculated size" (at the bottom of the window). When the file size and the calculated size differ, I log the warning and check what's wrong. As such, several "changed file" will show up in the audit page, being the direct consequence of these differences.
Either the new files are freed of potential extra bytes, or re-ripped when they were truncated. This takes time, but ... .

Ok, and since the wrong sized files have not always bytes in excess, I've tried to locate those files anew. However, some of them are nowhere it seems, so, they are now tagged as ".defective" and can't be downloaded anymore. At least, until a replacement is found. So, if you can help finding those files, that would be greatly appreciated (just search for the module ".defective").

Thanks

And now, the S3M format is supported.
It was under test on the admin part, but I have received no feedback, so I guess it's all fine.

And today saw the addition of OCT format (Octalyzer). It's a 8 voices tracker from the Falcon world.
I handled this because I found some musics in that format in various Falcon demos. At the time of writing this, there are only 4 (yes, four) musics on AMP in that format ... room for improvements Smiley More will come.
