31  Support / Feedback / Support / Feedback / AMP is not working properly since 04/06 on: June 06, 2016, 11:35:53

We face an issue with the whole public front end of AMP, where queries and basic browsing are not working. This is an unfortunate consequence of some technical upgrade that didn't go as well as planned.
 We'll fix this shortly, hopefully.

 Sorry about that

32  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Mod by Airwalk or Bass? on: May 19, 2016, 18:59:00
OK, a little late ... the magic needs more spare time Smiley
Since it comes from an Australian prod containing all the entries for an Oz party, I figure it's definitely not by Bass. However, correct credit is only this picture where you can select musics. No text, in this prod, refer to a 'Airwalk' anywhere. So, I've set up an Australian Airwalk and linked the music to this author. Maybe we'll find information over time.

thanks for the tip.

Hi Doktor,

I must first apologize for this delayed reply. These are difficult times to get spare time these days.
Thanks to Deus-Ex, I've fixed up everything that was still wrong. Should you notice something else, please tell me. I'll try to follow up.

38  Amiga Music / Audio Trackers & Players / ZXTune - chiptunes player on: October 24, 2015, 18:41:38
We were sent the following email today. So, here it is. Note that AMP team has nothing to do with this and any question/request should therefore be addressed to the author.
I, Asle, didn't have a chance to test this on Android, so I have no personal feedback to provide for that. The MS-Windows version is very slow, and that's all I'll say. Not sure this version is the goal, so ...

Hello, guys!

I am the author of ZXTune - chiptunes player (homepage is ). It's free and seems to be liked by users. Unfortunately, it's not as widely uses as I want - I'm not a PR or SEO guru, just a developer:)
Android version of my app is able to browse Amiga Music Preservation collection online ( I've made two oneliners with GooglePlay link and many people was happy to know about ZXTune according to thanksgiving reviews:) But regular oneliner posting looks like a spam, so I prefer to ask you directly- can you add app link to information page on your site?
Android version is just a player, but desktop version has a quite powerful ripping possibilities.

If you have any questions - feel free to ask.

Thank you!
39  Amiga Music / Music database / Re: dreamfish - ocean loader on: June 28, 2015, 14:57:03

OK, for this one I have no clue.
I mean, there's no source identified. The closest is the version if the TRSI chipmusicdisk. And there, it's in TP3 format. However, that's the AMP version behind.
There's also this difference in Dreamfish/TRSI against Dreamfish/DCS for the modland version.

Find me a reliable source Smiley

Oh, and the CD "Scene Storm" contains the modland version.

40  Amiga Music / Music database / Re: emax - magical state... on: June 25, 2015, 18:07:01
Right, same '400'. Strange.
This one is also a clean disk rip from an intro by Palace.

Maybe there's some sync involved, considering the 3rd bit shouldn't ever be set ?

I confirm the rip quality for both. They are, thus, replayed as is in the demos.
41  Amiga Music / Music database / Re: emax - magical state... on: June 24, 2015, 21:41:26
Hi Michael,

I confirm AMP stores a disk rip. It's coming from Autumn Nights musicdisk by Palace.
I counted 5 out of range notes in there. Note that there are 3 unused patterns (modinfo file attached).

Will have a closer look tomorrow.

42  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Batman on: June 21, 2015, 13:52:44
I have no context for those files. They were to be uploaded but I don't know the origin.
Feel free to help Smiley
43  General Category / Requests / Re: Anyone got the modules from this disk? on: June 15, 2015, 18:51:56
Ripped those some time ago (2009 according to the timestamps Smiley )
The disk is full of Bytekiller 2.0 exe. Once decrunched, some contain musics. Add "M.K." at position 0x438.
With the intro music, there are 9 protracker to get. Note that all titles and sample texts have been cleared.

I'll add those to AMP shortly (completely forgotten)
44  General Category / Requests / Re: Mods with note periods below/beyond Amiga HW limit on: June 08, 2015, 19:53:01
no, most 90% chance is from Atari ST trackers.
45  General Category / Requests / Re: Mods with note periods below/beyond Amiga HW limit on: June 07, 2015, 15:47:11
Hey Michael,

You could either load up Milky and write up all the notes in a new "MOD".
You could also check OpenMPT source code ( I tried to have a quick look but I don't understand anything with the gazillions of files and directories. No idea where to find what .. Smiley

Also, I doubt many are on 8 octaves. My memory may be failing me, but I think it's more like 5 octaves for "old" PC trackers like Taketracker or Fasttracker 1. Someone corrects me Smiley
