XMPlay is a sole player application as the name suggests and does not write anything to a module.
Right click - Track Info - mark Override - Enter info - click Apply. Surely it won't work with a module file, but suites to mpegs and similar files.

p.s. I sent my interview at crown[att]dascene[dot]net. Got it?

Some friends (Awesome, Evelred, Naif, Noisy Man, Smash!, Sergio DJ, Wally, Wonder) gathered at the party and thought...
Some talent in that list alone, including possibly my favourite tracker, Awesome....  Do you still keep in touch with any of them?
Great tracker and a very nice person indeed. Not actually in touch, but sometimes a path crosses (most of us have now an IT-related career) and we update each other about the rest Tongue.

Thanks for uploading the one from 'Sheer Heart Attack' demo. A really unique coop by DEM and Evelred, two of the best Spanish trackers of all time!

Asle found that one....  I'm enjoying listening to it as I type this!  Wink
yup, while digging up some TLOTB productions.

I'll remain an Uncle Tom or Bug hard fan, no matter what. Still, I have to agree. Very good musicians, that's for sure Smiley

right, so, maybe I could patch modinfo to display it. I've encountered this quite a few times and maybe it's worth it.
the tag itself is 'text' followed by its size (4 bytes integer) and the text.

As for the topic itself (i.e. uploading new material), it's still in the pipe. Although, not likely today, unfortunately. Came up with too much to do in the end Sad.

This is an old topic, but, to make it short, the extension stuff is an Amiga legacy, where extension (if any) came first.
I know it's not really useful in today's systems, but ... see, Exotica still does it Smiley
Anyway, this is not likely to change any time soon, unfortunately. Far too much work to achieve that.

This doesn't bother me that much anymore, but a good file renamer takes care of this after I download a few, so that helps... Smiley

Last, a question, if I may. In several musics, there's this "text" tag at the end of the music

Can't remember who or what modules but, I recently came across several mods where the tracker left the message at the bottom, almost like a text file, even the author mentioned reading the text.  Thought they were .it or .s3m modules and have never seen it used in any other module that I can remember.

I don't know how are the underlying mod files organized, so maybe what I'm proposing is not possible. I suppose something like this has arisen before, but didn't find anything in this topic.

Amiga has mod extension before file name while PC and others usually have mod extension after the file name. Would it be possible to code/modify a download filter which lets choose the placement of the extension before/after the file name? (I guess the answer is no if files are gzipped and not compressed on the fly).
