Hi Sylvain!

Thanks so much for your reply Smiley

Yes Rich is correct (Happy Halibut), I'm very impressed that those modules are up there! And that you managed to link him with me Smiley That's my friend Rich. But the other Rich you mentioned is definitely not him. Russ, an old school friend, we only made one module together in the end. Thanks for setting him up. And Ell.... well, I may have some of his modules to contribute to the database (obviously some are in the upload I made to the FTP but I bundled them together with mine because generally I will have made remixes of his and wanted them placed together), I can contribute those later.

Thanks very much for this!

Kelp

Hi and welcome, Kelp.
The handling of uploads is on me. I just don't check too often, though, and I'm usually late. Sorry about that (a mail generally gets better results Smiley )
Please note that you are already listed here : http://amp.dascene.net/detail.php?detail=modules&view=13571
It was set on 'Evolution'. I've now expanded the information following your instruction as found in the text files you sent.

So now, while I'm processing the musics, I have a few questions, if you don't mind, regarding the artists you list:
Russ : I've set up a new author : http://amp.dascene.net/detail.php?view=16392
Rich : this looks like the right author: http://amp.dascene.net/detail.php?detail=modules&view=3212
is this the same as this 'Rich' here : http://amp.dascene.net/detail.php?view=12694 ?
Ell : I've set up a new author : http://amp.dascene.net/detail.php?view=16393

The lot will be uploaded this week (got a lot on the TODO list ..)

And oh, thanks A LOT for sending your work ! It's highly appreciated !

Cheers
Sylvain

Took me a long time to realise a site like this existed Smiley

Amazing. Loved composing modules back in the '90s. I remember in the late '80s a friend showing me Soundtracker. I suppose I probably started on Noisetracker around 1990 or '91 and eventually progressed to Protracker in the mid '90s. A friend and I used to write some very weird, experimental strange things back in the mid to late '90s, usually after we had come back from some club in London after a very messy time out (our influences were things like Aphex Twin or the Orb or FSOL etc). I used to remix his modules and he would remix mine. In actual fact, I uploaded a load of them to the database via the FTP last week (or perhaps the week before). Just wondering how long it takes for them to appear in the database? Even stranger : I searched for my name and found it on the database already with some lost modules I had completely forgotten about Smiley That is really bizarre but also cool to find. I guess someone must have ripped them out of an old disk magazine I used to write music and articles for.

Great to see so many other module creators here and I will dipping into it all Smiley

Deffo not one of mine. I'm guessing that the composer ripped the samples but didn't rename them.

OK, file is there. Now, what do you have in mind ? I could add a line in the 'download' section ?
tell me.

I'm not really sure to be honest.  To me, it just seems a shame that I'm the only person who sees the list.  I have no idea how many could be "lost", "inaccurate", "rare", etc etc..

I keep updating it and adding new (or old) modules all the time.  I can't vouch for 100% accuracy or dupes, but I try...

I was over at Demozoo and looking at "lost" modules from compo's to see if I had any of them, and that's when I thought about maybe making it more public some way. After all, I've been collecting modules for over 20 years now...  The other drawback I see is that the file is in Excel format, so not everyone may be able to read it and it constantly gets updated all the time.

Also, making more public, might encourage someone to look through it and spot the errors! Smiley
