  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • I got my first computer in 1984. A brand new C64. At first it was used for
playing games but later on the same year I meet two brothers with the same
interest as me. Things changed when we saw our first demo. We were so
impressed that we decided to make our own group and try coding. And in 1987
we founded "Future Vision" which has been more or less active since then..

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • The C64 was used for games, demos and coding..
Lots of Amiga's used for games, demos and music.
And now I got a Pc only for music composing and some video editing..
I still have all these machines..

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • Actually I started as a coder on C64 :) but things surely changed when I got my
Amiga. This baby was perfect for music creation and I soon forgot all about
coding and began creating music. I can thank the Amiga for my interest in
    creating music. :)

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • I tried out some programs on the c64 "sound monitor, and one of my friends
"Pet/Jewels" made a music editor for me, but I didn't make much with it bcoz
shortly after I got my first Amiga. Here I used Protracker 2.3a (actually I
think I've used all versions of that program..) and ofcoz Digibooster Pro
(a kickass tracker!). Now on I'm using Fruity Loops on pc...

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • hmm.. there is a few which are my favourites : "More Pain, The Mutant Bastard"

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • Ohh Boy :) A lot of my old tunes really sucks.. Some times when I want to
have some fun I listen to these old "beauties" and I always get a good laugh..
They are what you could call cult sounds.. :)

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • It's a lot.. Have you ever tried seeing a demo with no sound.. BOOOOOOOOOORING...
Sometimes I think music is underrated in the demoscene.. Okay, today even a
monkey can create music with programs like Ejay.. But that's not music
composing. It's just like building with lego.. Music composing is about creating
your own music and not just putting 10 loops together into one file..

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • I'm still composing.. Not as much as in the good old days.. It's not easy to
find enough time for composing when you have to work.. But I'm still active..
It's not professional though.. Just for my own pleasure and my friends..

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • Hmm.. Music is music whatever format it's been composed in.. So what's to say?
Ofcoz there is more work composing a module to a competion where the size can't
be larger than 1 or 2 mb.. That's hard work and impressive..

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • Damn.. hard question.. Some of the tunes I remember best is actually c64 tunes,
don't know why but they keep showing up in my head. :) All tunes by Rob Hubbard,
Martin Galway, Jeroen Tel. Ofcoz there is also newer tunes like from the
Phenomena demo "Enigma" and Haujobb's "Mnemonics"! Also some of my favourites on
Amiga was the music demo releases from "da Jormas". I could just keep going on
but it would become very boring to read.. ;)

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • Actually I've already released 2 audio cd's :
"Industrial Brothers - Insane in the brain"
    "Hazel - Destination Unknown"

and I'm working on a new cd right now..

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • Different bands and styles like : Astral Projection, Mystica, Fat Boy Slim,
Tiesto, MFG, Optical & Ed Rush.. and more..

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • A lot of fun and some really great friends.. And a chance to be creative..

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • Well... You could say a little active.. I only release some of my music on
parties.. Not like the old days where demos, music etc was released every day
    and not only at parties.

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • All righty.. then let's shout out some greetz to : Eazy, Chain, Speedy, Puryx,
Dissident, Control, Lethal Dose, Pet, JTR, Kontrol and everyone I've forgotten!!

    "Keep the scene alive"
