  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • Oh gosh. It was in the Atari-2600-Era. Think it was around 1979.
    It starts through a german ware house-called "Quelle" ;)
    And through friends of course. All cool guys played Telegames on TV ;))


  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • I think I can´t remember all machines. But I try.

    Atari-2600, C64-I+II, Amiga500+600. SNES, MegaDrive, Gameboy, Playstation (only
    the first), Gamecube, Xbox, PC of course ;) I love to play ;))

    On C64 i´ve started to beeing creative with music.

    On Amiga I tried coding in Seka-Assembler and of course composing music.


  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • i loved music all my life and loved the oldskool composers like moby, jester of
    sanity, chris huelsbeck, Martin Galway, Ben Daglish, Rob Hubbard, etc....
    i´ve dreamed of to be one of them one day ;) but the main reason for writing
    music was the FUN!!! and for gfx I had absolutly no talent ;) coding was also
    interesting and did much fun, but music was that I want to make much more.


  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • It started all on the C64 with ROMUZAK and ROCKMONITOR.
    On Amiga I had my Pro, Noise, Star-Trackers (and some others and can´t remember).
    On PC I had the Scream Tracker3.21 (Future Crew) and the Protracker-II.
    And of yource SK@le. A very powerful tool with VSTi support.


  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • Oh that was late. ;))
    Well it depends to decades. On the Amiga Sector about 1991 I was very happy a
    bout my "Land of Feelings - Trilogy" wich became good ratings from Party
    Members and friends. But only the songs that I made today (orchestral or
    oldskool-mixes with new Synthi-Soundtables combined with the classics)
    will really satisfy me. But back in the days it was the Land of Feelings -
    Trilogy. Yep! (and that "Love in Espaniol " thingi ;)


  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • Oh yeah. Many ;)) Because there were much worse than those even known today of
    the label "Shadow" ;))


  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • Music is and was very important to games and demos and will ever be. Games/Demos
    without music i´ve never played. I think the most important thing in a demo or
    game song, is to transport the spirit of the group or the message you try to
    offer. There is nothing worse, than a displaced somg in a wonderful demo. I
    love the works of "farbrausch" very much. That guys rock´s really hard and are
    very talented in that way. But many other of course do the same great job. The
    music should fit in the demo and give it a extra push to the limit.


  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Yes, I can´t stop doing it ;) (like many other oldskoolers,too).
    Well, I make music for everyone who asked me and has a nice project to offer.
    My music is free for all. Ever was and ever will be. I´m not into business
    with it (there are many other much better musicians). Only for FUN. It´s my
    hobby.


  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • Well, I like the remakes from the good old times (C64/Amiga) on KWED and MP3
    is a good medium for that. But of course I miss the good old days, were a sound
    had a size of 1-4kb ;) (c64) or 4-100kb (Amiga).

    I don´t like the first Demos with MP3 sound with a simple playback routine in
    it on PC. But I guess I have to go with the future in such things.


  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • On C64: Rambo, Arkanoid, Comic Bakery, Cybernoid I+II, Savage, IK+, Last Ninja I+II
    and MULE ;) (but there are much much more I loved and liked very much).

    On Amiga: Turrican I+II+III, Apidya, Battle Squadron, Hybris, 7 Gates of Jambala,
    Wings of Dead, Odyssey-Demo and Rock´n Roll. (but there are much much more
    I loved and liked very much).

    Lot´s of Lizzardking´s and Skaven´s, Purple Motions´s tunes.


  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • I have done this to 2 or 3 songs of mine. I´m not very much into remixes because
    I like the originals more then newer cover version, but I did it on "GlorySID".
    Became nice critics back. that´s why I make music still today for free :)


  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • None. I don´t like the bands today and the capitalistic music industrie. I´ll
    keep better oldskool in the 80´s :) that´s my time. I hear lots of other free
    music made from familiar artists that make theyre music with the same reason
    than I. FUN!


  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • Much. very much. I found the best friendships there, the best contacts of
    creative heads in my life. And it was all about fun those days. today it´s
    only for money and that´s so sad. I think alot about that great years back
    and hope they will come back someday. but they´ll never come again.


  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • No not really. I read a bit in some forums and try to give some constructive
    critics and tips and someday I meet someone from back in the days. Today I
    make music for little games for codeeye, dark matter soft, fetzenet and
    ludi-visions. I don´t know, if those guys are scene related. maybe codeeye.
    Don´t really know ;)

  • hihi... greetings today? well. If someone is still alive in the commodore
    universe I will send greetz to the Funny Business Production Crew, Illusion
    Crew, Nuance, Anarchy (France .... hy Hydra. Still alive? :) )

    To my friends Atropha and Mastru :) But I guess, all guys (groups) are history
    today :(
