Looking for an old TRSI mod, sample provided
« on: March 07, 2010, 19:06:13 »
Hi there,

in the early 90's a friend of mine had a cracked game on his Amiga. If I recall correctly it was called Dreadnoughts.
And if I continue to recall correctly it was cracked by TRSI and during the crack credits there was some MOD played.

I loved that MOD and taped it to MC and then resampled and saved it as WAV on my ST. Maybe someone of you is able to identify it using the description or by listening to it. I've uploaded a sample (I did a bit of editing on the beginning back then): TRSI.mod.mp3.

cu
Nils, curios if someone will find out

Hi

I've just added the crack intro to Kestra : http://kestra.exotica.org.uk/demo.php?id=27249
I searched for it after your comment, in fact :).
So, the music is by Leffty/TRSI. It's in Sonic Arranger format, hence not on AMP.
You'll find a download link on the Kestra entry.

All the best,
Sylvain

Hi Sylvain,

wow - you exceeded my expectations!
I went over to kestra, downloaded and was able to play that file. From the sound I should have known it, but having no experience on Amiga, am still a bit surprised it's a chiptune and not a MOD. Well, learned something - better late than never.

Anyway thank you very much for your fast and correct response.

Nils
