I did that, WinUAE with 8MB chip.
Loaded a lot of things, including workbench from where I launched pt2.3d
Here's a snapshot of the result.

Is there any PC tracker/player that could technically export a large module as a protracker mod file?

Asle

any of them, I guess (Fastracker, Screamtracker, Milky tracker or even PT4GUS :) )

Next question. :)

What's the most downloaded file (at the present time) on AMP?

It's very rare to find one which has had more than 1,000 downloads, and when you do it's always something tediously obvious (for example, I was just looking at Mantronix's page and Overload had 1,023 downloads).  Still, it'd be nice to know...

Asle

Well, we are reluctant to publish download results.
Long ago, we had a chart for that, and, automatically, any title listed there was being downloaded even more :).

Still, I guess a one time shot won't harm too much :). Will do that soon.

EDIT: some more stuff.
The most downloaded authors are:
#1: 4-Mat (240000+ hits)
#2: Lizardking (120000+ hits)
#3: Spaceman a.k.a. Nuke (100000+ hits)
#4: Dr. Awesome
#5: XTD

Axxy

Not really surprised by either list to be honest. Some great modules there, and the usual suspects for the authors. :)

Quite surprised by 9 & 10 though. Didn't have the semtex.mod but the Zalza one is quite catchy and both chiptunes as well...

Trans Atlantic at number 1?  Incredible!  Meanwhile Amegas languishes at number 8...

I would have said only Amegas and Cream of the Earth were the really obvious candidates for the list.  I've heard Trans Atlantic and it's a good song, but I'd never have considered it number 1 material...

Asle

Well, I kinda agree with you. However, don't forget that not all musics have the same age, storing wise. Some were available before others. Might explain the aforementioned ranking.
