90 year old - XM
« on: April 22, 2013, 14:29:04 »
While retrieving the musics from Legend 5 (PC diskmag from 2001), I've found the attached music (XM._90 year old).
I've got a problem with it as it's credited to Falcon and KeyG in the mag (and the music) whereas AMP stores the very music as 'XM.90 year old', but credited to Lesnik.
Maybe there's some explanation in the mag but it's all in Polish :(.

Any help getting proper credit would be welcome.

Cheers
Sylvain

No idea mate.

I have the same one credited to Lesnik in 2001.  Wouldn't be surprised if the one over at Modland is the same as mine, as i might have sent that one. ModArchive also has the Lesnik credited one also, not uploaded by me though.  Nectarine has it as Lesnik to, and it does appear in Lesnik's folder over at Scene.org.

I suppose it could have been mis-credited somewhere along the line, all 3 are Polish, but like I mentioned, if I downloaded it from anywhere, it probably would have been from Scene org.

Credit are very clear in the mag as well as this version.
Do you have any idea where the Lesnik version comes from ? (prod/compo/etc.)

Like I said, Lesnik has a folder at Scene.Org with all his scene stuff in it. As far as I'm aware, only the artist can upload stuff to it,  unlike say ModArchive?

It looks like it was uploaded back 2001.  Either it is wrongly uploaded to Lesnik's folder even with the credit, or the Diskmag mis-credited it, but doesn't explain why the mod has the Falcon & KeyG credit in it.

Also came across a utube channel with all lesnik's chiptunes which also has the module

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhFOvAPwZDA&list=SPE54DDCF660606CBF&index=76

Everywhere points to Lesnik but you still can't ignore the credit to falcon & keyg in the other mod.

I suspect the only way to find out will be if any of the three see this thread and can confirm who actually wrote it.  Are any of them still active?

Thanks for the message.

The title didn't ring a bell so I looked for the track on modules.pl.

It seems to me that this one is simply one of chiptunes made by LeĊ›nik and I do not know
why we were credited in the Legend 5.

Best Regards,
Jacek

So, it seems it is a Lesnik chiptune.  Weird why the other one is credited the way it is.
