Hello,

Just wondering if there's an issue which stops Med/Octamed mods being uploaded?

I have 5 tracks online (my only non Med tracks) but sent around 400 Med mods. I'm sure there's loads more out there from other musicians. They can be played using Deliplayer.

Cheers, and keep up the excellent work,

Steve

Hi mate,

We have nothing against MED tunes, really!  :)

When did you send the tunes?

Hey chaps -

Sent 50 or so disks to Crown 4 or 5 years back (you might remember - they went to the wrong address first and came back to me a month later, then I resent them).

I've actually got the full file containing all the mods (roughly 90 gig); shall I upload it?

edit: I've just noticed a few of the med mods are now on the site

Cheers,
Steve

Hi Steve,

oh yeah, now I remember.  :)

please share the file. is it 90gigs or megs?

have you composed anything lately?

cheerio pal!

stevethekeys

Woah  :o - sorry I got that a bit wrong; definitely megs, not gigs (it'd be about 50,000 songs otherwise)

I'll upload it as soon as I've sorted through it (lots of random demos and stuff to remove).

I'm still composing, though not so much with trackers any more. There are some new and old med tracks on my soundclick page;    http://www.soundclick.com/musicfirst, and I do a lot of collaborations with the Ambient Collective; http://ambientcollective.blogspot.com/

Cheers Crown,

Steve

ahaha. I knew there was something weird.  :)

Thanks for your help mate!

i'll check the music you compose right away!

Hey Crown -

Upload complete! I've taken out the random stuff and some incomplete mods. It's a 34 meg zip of 447 mods. With the multimods it's around 550 tracks... pretty much everything I did on the Amiga (so a lot of the early stuff is pretty bad!)

Let me know if it didn't transfer properly (I had to use the command line)

Cheers!

Hi,

First, thanks for the upload.
I've run through it and sorted it up. There are several files that are "defective", or won't play under any circonstances :
- no samples (songs) : "3BLAST!", "Brass", "CrapWildSpinoff", "Good4Alaf", "METALFREAKZ!2", "ScrewDriver2song", "SoundOfBrass", "TECHO2"
- unknown (format/?) : "JollyGood-short", "satori ALL", "Template"
- IFF Picture : "PICWaveyLYAP"

Regarding the DMS file in there (moremods.dms), it has reading errors on files "NewOne1", "synthsound2" and "Jamsong1". It contains already known songs, and the .NT of the StarTrekker musics. Regarding those (Starmod#?) they won't go on AMP as we don't yet handle this format.

I'll upload all this, now. Regarding filenaming, I've either used the real title designed in the files, or the comment containing a title. Finally, I used the filename "as is" by default.

Kind regards,
Sylvain

edit: almost forgot to talk about the demo in there "DEMOIII", made with RSI demomaker. Though, the music inside was already on the list (MOD.Pianomod). Last, there was more than 50 files crunched with PP20. Had to track them and decrunch them all.

Brilliant - really appreciate all your efforts Sylvain! Didn't realise there was so much guff and powerpacked stuff in there. I think the unknown format ones may be duplicates of other tracks with different names; Template is a new PC Med mod (not sure how it got in there, sorry).

Thanks again,

Steve

Ok Mr. Cybarite. It's all online. If you detect something wrong, please, tell me. Also, if you think I missed a song, again, tell me.
Thanks again for the upload.

Sylvain
PS: some Protracker files had size problem, with extra bytes for a few of them. I cleaned them up. Just so you know. Basically, uneven sizes for Protracker smells wrong :)

stevethekeys

Thanks Sylvain - checking through them now; they all seem to be there. I'll let you know if I come across anything that seems wrong.
Cheers,
Steve
