Title: Jurassic Pack
Post by: Asle on February 02, 2013, 00:59:44
Hello

And another strange format pops up. This time, first found in My definition in blue (http://kestra.exotica.org.uk/demo.php?id=18404) demo by Scarab. Then it is found also in Jurassic Pack #14 (http://kestra.exotica.org.uk/demo.php?id=20082) (0003.mus and 0004.mus).
This appears to be a derived from DBM, obviously. Header is slightly different and the pattern data are not packed. Writing a converter sounds possible, although it'll take some work.
Anyone encountered this format before ? And if so does anyone know of a program that handles this "SSM" format ?

Thanks
Sylvain

Just for the record, I've asked Stingray and Puryx about the music in the demo. Stingray answered it's a dedicated replay to a specific format. Original file is indeed Digibooster.
He told me he thinks the original DBM file is still around, somewhere, and he promised to look up for it.

Cheers

I think the music files are pt mods and dbm`s. d!rt!e could help you with the files.

I've sent him a mail.
Files are either P6* or this weird DBM format variation in JP14.

I received a reply from D!rt!e. He's on vacation and told me he'll look into his archives upon his return.
Cool ;)

Unfortunately, still no news yet. Maybe I'll try another email.
