Music database / Re: Santa Claustofobia by Di33y
« on: June 04, 2019, 20:31:40 »
I checked a bit. And, I noticed that this music REALLY sounds like Groo stuff and the sample set is very close to MOD.biomechanoid. I couldn't find, however, the very music we are talking about in Groo's material we have here.
I looked also around regular Exotic Men musicians but came up empty as well.

And .. no matter how I dislike to admit it, we still have converted material, here, for Di33y stuff like MOD.decept2 or MOD.pathway for example. So, a music being authored by Di33y doesn't mean we found the original version of the music - unfortunately.

https://amp.dascene.net/detail.php?detail=modules&view=1845

Is this really by Di33y? (added 01/05/19).

I'm trying to find the mod I think this is, but having trouble identifying/finding it.
Well, it's coming from Santa Claustrofobia demo by Exotic Men where they write "CODE BY JORMA, GFX BY ED-209, MUSIC BY DI33Y". It's P41A in there, so, there's not much else to rely to - except asking people familiar with the matter ? If you have more information, please, tell us :)

And as a test of the new upload system i'll send his missing xm's...  I think it worked, didn't get message or progress show, or upload was too quick?
Four files starting with "rav_" were indeed uploaded. I'll handle them later. -- and now added
With our usual thanks :)

Hello,

You'll have to be a little more specific. You've linked to the entire "unknown composers" and I would guess you had one specific music in mind, didn't you ?

Cheers

Hello,

Once again, I am waiting for your list of musics. You wrote to me :

Thank you sylvian, I really appreciated that i saw the mark as not downloadable instead of disabling. If i have a time, I want to mark more not downloadable as a MIDI conversions as well.
That was the 4th of March. I've seen no list yet and I'm still waiting. I've written to you and here that I'm waiting for these "more not downloadable as a MIDI conversion".

All the best,
Sylvain

@All,
Again, thanks for sharing with us via this cloud thing. It's working great. Now, please, upload only once ! There's absolutely NO NEED to upload several times the same file.
 All will be handled eventually.

More files with unknown/unsure author. Whoever uploaded these, please, help us authoring those.

@all,

Thanks for using the new cloud we set up (replacing our old FTP).
I've handled all I could so far. However, a few files came up where I couldn't decipher an author.
CISZA1.XM
DUSZEK.XM
HINDUS1.XM

Whoever upped this, please contact me or reply here.

Files upload / Re: FTP Uploads' Problem
« on: April 06, 2019, 12:03:19 »
hello again,

And I must remind you that I'm waiting for the list of the remaining MID->S3M files that are still available for download, here. I've seen your uploads in the last few days, but I won't use them until the conversion part is settled.

Please, come back to me about that.
All the best,
Sylvain

Announcements / new server and collateral changes
« on: March 31, 2019, 21:15:16 »
To all our users,

Going back a few weeks ago, we have migrated AMP to a new server (taking care of PHP7 mandatory upgrades and the like). The announcement is only made now since we have had various difficulties here and there.
You can see one of the consequences in the Forum. The old design wouldn't fit anymore with this way more up-to-date version. The second main consequence is the FTP which had to go. The way our new server is set up wouldn't let us easily create an FTP sever. We opted for a cloud solution (Nextcloud). That way, whoever wants to send us something needs only to drop that "something" on https://amp.dascene.net/upload/.

cheers

Musician database / Yomaru Kasuga musics
« on: March 03, 2019, 23:24:35 »
All,

I don't usually track down moves like that but this is a special case.
After a discussion with Yomaru Kasuga and a public discussion also on modarchive.org, several dozens of musics are now off the download list.

We, AMP Staff, are agreement with Saga Musix and what is written on modarchive forum -> straight MIDI->S3M conversion in a two clicks sweep should not be featured on tracker-oriented archive websites.

« on: January 21, 2019, 22:42:16 »
Hi,

This is a simple case of an XM missing some bytes for the last sample defined.
If you're the one who's uploaded this file, then please send over the correct full version.

Cheers
Sylvain

off topic : I don't know why you send XM when they obviously are NOT created in FastTracker2. All the XM you send are oversized.

OK, back to tracing what happens ...

And we start by yesterday's upload 'theviraltrends.zip'. Zip is fine but the XM inside is NOT - missing some byte.
Whoever sent it, please, locate the correct version.
