4champ app 1.2 now released. This version adds support for STK modules, and brings hundreds of old school mods to your iPhone/iPad. See more in iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/4champ/id578311010?ls=1&mt=8

I will be posting info on this thread whenever there is new stuff available. At the moment I'm working to support iOS7.

4champ 1.3 is out!

The new version migrates the app to all new iOS7 looks and brings a new cool feature: 4champ radio is your personal jukebox that will shuffle tunes from the full AMP catalog to your device. Check it out in the App Store!

4champ 1.4 is now in app store. This version contains some graphical updates, bug fixes, and most importantly a feature to share what you're listening to with others. Download from app store: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/4champ/id578311010?mt=8

4champ is a module player application for iPhone/iPad that allows you to search&download modules from the AMP database and play them back in the mobile device.

Just FYI: 4champ full version is free this weekend (13th to 15th of June 2014) - If you have been pondering purchase, now it is your chance. 4champ 1.5 now released to App Store. The new version has two new "channels" in the radio - New in AMP plays most recent additions in the amp.dascene.net database. Local plays mods that have been stored to device - great for offline use once you've collected some favourites into your own playlists.

In addition there's better control in adding tunes to playlists (try long tapping a module) + some bug fixes. To celebrate the new release, full version is free until next sunday (14th of September). Enjoy!

4champ 1.6 now in App Store! This update adds in-app settings where you can adjust some playback parameters like stereo separation, bass boost and surround. You can also control how 4champ treats downloaded mods when you clear playlists. Either keep all downloaded mods or delete the mods that are no longer referenced/favorited when you clear a playlist.

4champ 1.6 integrates with Google Analytics, and at first launch you'll be asked whether you want to help making the app better by allowing anonymous data collection or opt out - your choice! This you can also change later in settings should you change your mind.

As with previous release, the full version will be free for about a week until Nov 23. To get the full version, navigate to About tab in the app and just tap Buy Full Version button. Also don't forget to follow @4champ_app for updates, great module shares and other related stuff.

I hope you enjoy the app. If you have a minute to spare, please consider writing a review in App Store - it would be greatly appreciated.

I'll be participating in Assembly 2015 in Helsinki at the beginning of August. If you're also coming, please pay a visit to the oldskool area find the 4champ (I'm going to have some sort of poster/flyers) - it'd be nice to see you guys there.

Hi florist,

if you are interested in tunes for testing the replays you are using feel free to check my uade test repository. I'm putting some 4ch Amiga mod files online, which extensively use Protracker effects, bug and features to check support of different mod engines:

all the best at Assembly,

mld/uade team
Jabber/XMPP ID on request.

florist

Thanks mld, will have to look at your test mods. 4champ playback is currently done with LibModPlug, and I'm painfully aware of its limitations. Incorporating other player engines is in the plan for future updates. So much to do, so little time.

It's been taking more time than I anticipated to get the localisation going, but now I've got German, Norwegian, Danish, Russian and Finnish covered. If anyone here interested to participate in 4champ localisation beta, drop me a PM in twitter (@4champ_app) or in mail sitomani at iki.fi. The beta has shuffle mode for playlists + the aforementioned localisations included.

Plan is to have the update in App Store at the time of Assembly 2015.

New version expected soon  ???

florist

@charlie90 did you miss the free full version by a day? :D Don't worry I'm releasing Spanish localisation soon and will put it free again for a week. I'm also planning to change the in-app-purchase into more like a sponsoring function; From 2.0 version the free app will have all features, but it'll have a consumable in-app-purchase for people who want to support development.
