    Handle: Virus

    Group: Skidrow

    Date of birth: 21/10/74

  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • 1988. I got a Amiga 500 as a gift from my father.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • Now i got one lapptop 266mhz PII, one PII 350mhz, one Amiga 500.
I use the lapptop in my work (consultant in As/400 programming) the 350mhz
i use to make music in my studio (Midi), And i use the amiga for
    flashbacks :)

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • I dont relay know. Im a vary good artis to, allways got the highest
degree in the subject painting. But i found it realy hard to paint on
a computer. I rather use my penn :)

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • In the beginning i used Soundtracker. A few mouths later Mahoney and Kaktus
released the NoiceTracker and it was realy fun. Then a few yeas later the
Group Noxious i think it was.. relaes the ProTracker and it was wrey much
better. But when i started to use PC i used FastTracker but i started
to get interested in real synths so now im only using CuBase VST in my
    studio.

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • hmm.. thats a hard one. Skidrow was planning to release a music disk just
before we died and that project died when the group died in 1993-94. But
i think there are the very bestog me. To bad it did not reached the public.
But i have a lot of my old tunes baked in to my bands sound.

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For What reason?

  • No i dont think so.. Meaby a cover of the old tune Crocket Theme. The
tune was released in a NorthStar intro in 1988 i think. Some people
acused me to have stole the tune.. i mean how difficult is it to
make a cover of Crocket Theme???. :)

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • The Lead sling. The lead sling must be good or else you find the music
bad and get tired of it. And in a demo the music must be timed with
the effects. The demo group Kefrens are very good at that point.

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Im composing for my band in my studio. Hopefully we are getting a
recorddeal this summer. We paly some kind of techno or eurodisco.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • I have not rely have take my self time to listen to todays music.
i have not found a good site yet. Do you got one for me? :)

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • I have allways liked FireFox of Phenomena. I rely like his style. He sounds
much like the music i listen to everyday. Synth, Itlaodisco style.
I think he is the best.

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • Yes, Some of my old tuned will be recognised in the music im working on
now. So meaby you will here it soon.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • Kraftwerk, Fancy, Depeche Mode (old records), Yazoo, Ken Lazlo, Boy Tronic
Fad Gadget, The Normal, New Order, The Tubway Army mm,

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • Probebly the person i am to day. If the scene not have been a part of my
i probably not have had this interest of computers and i have not got
this good job i got now. So i thank the Scene and all the people i know.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • No sorry. But if not Skidrow have died in 1993-94 i had surely still have
been a part of the group. But it would be fun to start again :)

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...
