  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • When C64 first came out, me and my brother wanted to get a computer.
However, our parents bought us a Coleco Vision game console instead.
We spent fortunes in the games, and finally they got us a Commodore
    128. This was somewhere in the mid 80's.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • Besides Coleco and C128, we had Amiga 500. I bought an Amiga 2000 for
myself later. Currently I own a Mac 6400.

I started composing modules on A500. I continued doing it on my A2000
until I bought a synth. From that on, I composed songs w/OctaMed. No
More tracker modules. I started BBS'ing with A500 and gradually changed
    to Internet.

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • I did a lot of drawing when I was younger but as soon as I started
playing music, drawing became less and less interesting. I picked an
electric guitar when I was about 15 and that's when composing became my
    addiction.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • Noisetracker, Soundtracker, Protracker, Octamed, Bars & Pipes, Deck
II...I used PT for most of my amiga modules.

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • There's several. Jack-All Song, Into the Hypercube, Invisible Chrysalis,
Spectral Images...but above all of the songs, Third Expression is the one.

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For What reason?

  • 3.1415927-3.1415927 perhaps. It's way too experimental!!

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • Very important. Think of all the classic C64 games. They are remembered
    by those awesome songs!

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Not much, because I haven't got the equipment I have in Finland. I'm
planning of getting a synth soon. I always compose for leisure or should I
say, because of the urge to compose.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • They're okay, tools are a lot better nowadays than in the 80's.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • Turrican had great music. So does Rambo, Elektraglide, Enigma Force on
    C64.

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • I wish I could!

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • Frank Zappa, Galliano, Jamiroquai, Radiohead, ... I've got a pretty broad
taste in music. Anything but country.

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • Plenty of good times! I learned about composing. I don't think I'd have
so much skills n computers without Amiga. It was a hard sucker to learn!!

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • no....:-(

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • CiBi/S8, Ghostrider/S8, Monk, all the S8 members I forgot.
