Handle: Miao (now Noisefever in the mp3 music scene)

    Group: Nuance

    Date of birth: 04-17-78

  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • 1990 or 91, I don't know exactly

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • Amiga 500. Mainly playing, and first worse Protracker Mods.
Amiga 1200 with HDD. Coding in AMOS, Protracker, OctaMED Pro (Midi Sequencing).
Since then AMD PC's (films, photos, make mp3 music).

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • Music is my life, the rest also is only hobby and makes for me only half that
way a lot of fun. In addition, music is for me the best medium to express my
    feelings and stories.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • First the Protracker and similar clones, Then very long OctaMED Pro.
Today mainly Madtracker2 and occasional still OctaMED Pro.

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • My goal always lies in front of me, how should I develop further otherwise? ;)

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • Oh no, I love all my pieces, also the worsest. And there are many worce, primary
    from the Protracker time ;)

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • Simply imagine a music video without music. This isn't possible. I think a demo
or game without music is how a music video without music: worse!

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Yes, or course! Professional purposes are the aim but it still is at the moment
Hobby. My latest Tracks are on Besonic.com.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • Kick midi in the ton, this doesn't really bring pleasure! Wave is okay, but too
big to spread, and what mp3 means for us noncommercial musicians I don't have to
    explain, right? :)

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • Own or others? :) For the own it's difficult to say... but I otherwise love
    Jogeir Liljedahl's music!

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • Yes, it is even almost ready. I would say at this time: still approximately 2
months. Besonic.com offers a very good insight to the CD.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • Mainly of the free mp3 scene. Everything what you can find on Besonic.com,
mp3.de, mp3.com and so on. All in all Underground. I hate the todays comercial
    music!

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • A set of beautiful memories of good games and unusual but good music. Both the
    Amiga and the C64!

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • Not really. I am still typed in at nuance but sleep there more then working... :)

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Yeah! Greets to Suxxs, Cie, Raven, Mc Andy, freQvibez (ex arrogance) and
all I forgot or scene groups I know but never meet personally.
