  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • After five years of DJing and Breakdancing (1987), I saw a friend of mine, "Kausi", with
an amusing brown box. In German it is called Brotkasten,in English it is know as a
breadbox or even better known as "Commodore C64".

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • My C64 was my first computer for only 1 year. After this i baught my first amiga 500
    (1988) and 2 years later my favorite A2000D with 68030 CPU , 25 MHz turbocard and a
    Deinterlace card.

At the end of 1995 the Amiga 1200 Magic, with 170MB ide Harddisk. With all this machines
I making musik, and with the A1200 i make some Arexx Script like Tradernews and ShowBulletin
for /X <- Remember this sign?? Thats the sign for AmiExpress BBS-Software :-P.
Now some of you remember , right ? Today i got a C64 with final cartridge III, a C128D,
3x A500, 1xPC AMD 3000 Barton, and im waiting for my yesterday on Ebay bought A2000,tower,
and again with 68030 25 MHz Power.

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • Hmmm remember, i do for some years before Djing and Breakdancing, and for that you need skills
like "rhythm" you know, and therefrom i got a lot, much more then any coding or gfx skills,
    believe me ;-)

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • My one and only favorit is Fairlights Startrekker V1.3,but why....
did i like the colors and the mouse following eyes ?, lol

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • Uhh, thats easy....till this day i got none track with that i reached it.
But i think my best tunes are Cool&Harmonious,TraderNews,Crying Fields and of course,
    Feel the horns!

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • Damn, i think there is more then one :-D !
One is the a Mod called "Hoo"...please dont ask me what that means lol.
This tune didnt have any beat or something, and is fortunately stubbiest.

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • I think same as i think about music in a motion picture, it is a great chance to
articulateness senses, and to bring a special moods to the viewers.
Personally the value is the highest!

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • After i saw your AMP page,i want back in business ;-) , but only for leisure purposes.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • It is nice to see there is many activity, and some of these formats i used every day, but
no other music format to rate higher then Mod (for me)....why i will be so
sentimental when i lend my ears to the chipz, damn!

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • There are a lot , but one is my all time favourite, called "High Density" composed by
Virgill, i love this tune really, the nice strings, flute and the reggae accompaniment...
    damn good!!!

Then a lot of chiptunes, chips are the roots man, composers like WOTW, Jozz, 4Mat, Chromag,
Funschis, Brainbuster, Beathawk, Paso, Dr.Awesome and much more....what would i do without
you guys....i dont know, thank you all 4 ya good works!

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • I dont think so, but when there was enought people are interesting....who knows...

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • I listen to all music-styles like rap, rock, dance, trance etc. but currently i listen to
my favourite chiptune ;-) "Trainer1" by Funschis. I can listen over more then 1 hour on
one and the same chiptune....did you think i am a little bit sick ? Hmm, but Who cares?

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • Unfortunately a never come back unforgettably times! And believe me, if you got a Time-Machine
and ask me "hey sly, did you want back at the end of 1991". my answer will be "sure, beam me up
    Crown".

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • I'm afraid not, but if anyone want a oldschool musician (chipz)...here i am!

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • greetings fly out 2 all musicians around the world, let the Mod scene never die!

And take a look in a few weeks at www.bytebastard.de ;-)
