  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • It started when my father came home with a commodore 64 one day in 1985
and gave me and my brother the c64 basic hand book :)

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • Philips G7000 - Played games, was really cool and fun games at the time.

Texat TI99/4a - Played games and tryed the soundchip on it, was kinda cool but really basic.

Commodore 64 - Played games and did some music, you can find them on the HVSC on VARIOUS/M-R/Noise_of_SID

Amiga500/1200 - Played games and did alot of music and some music disks with my borther, nothing released though.

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • I was more interested in Music, allthough I wanted to leard how to program and stuff but i guess i was to lazy.
I stil want to learn but... ;)

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • On the C64 i used UBIKS Music, i didn't know of any other program at that time, i didn't even know about demos and stuff until i got the Amiga, I'm alittle sad about that ;/
First I used Noisetracker but i wanted BPM so when protracker came WITH BPM i was sold :)
Now i use Reason and Renoise.

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • I don't had any specific goal :)
But one I am mostly prod of is a Track called Turrican,
Where i used all the sounds from the game TurricanII and added more sounds.
It is around 10 minutes long and consists of 6 diffirent tunes blending into eachother in different moods.

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • Probably alot of unfinished stuff that really sounded crap the next day ;)

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • I think it's pretty important, the music makes the demos, games more living and memorable.

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • I am stil composing, mostly becuase it's fun and it is my primary interrest.
I do remixes of c64 tunes http://remix.kwed.org search for trace
    And original stuff. http://trace.ziphoid.com

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc....?

  • It's great, escpessially the mp3 format, so you can share you stuff with others on your homepage and so.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • Others or? If you mean others that it is hard cause ther was so many of them.

On amiga i really like the music from the demo Interference and the music from all the Digitall Illusions Pinball games and many many more...

On c64 i like Way of the exploding fist, Sanxion, Monty on the Run and more...

It's really hard to narrow it down :)

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • I never get as far as thinking about it... ;)

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • No bands in perticular, Trance, goa, ambient, dance and so on.

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • Really many memories. Wish i was more involved in the scene back then...

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • I am in a c64 scene remixing c64 tunes, chatting on irc with other remixers on efnet #slayradio
    http://www.slayradio.com http://www.remix64.com

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • I would like to greet all the cool guys who did some amazing stuff on the c64 and amiga.
All who keeps the scenes alive.
