    Group: --

Date of birth: 26th of November 1980

  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • Well I got my first computer sometime around 1987, it was a Spectrum 48, but the
real interest in computers began when I got Amiga 500 around the year 1990. I
never was that interested in playing I just wanted to create something on stuff.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • Well I answered this partially already. My interest in making music with
computers woke pretty much the same time my interest in computers woke
otherwise. My previous computers: around 1987 Spectrum 48, around 1990 Amiga
    500, January 1996 first PC (100 MHz Pentium), around 1998 300-500 MHz AMD K6/2,
Summer 2001 my current 900 MHz AMD, 256 Mb memory so on.

Well I did almost everything you usually do with computers music has always
been the number one passion. I played some, did some graphics even with Amiga,
nowadays I use much Internet and do studying cause I study Information Technology.

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • Well I've done some graphics and coding also, and more and more nowadays because
of my studies. I also like to draw especially in the past I used to draw more.
Funny no one has ever thought me any music and none in my family or even in my
relatives are interested in music, somehow I feel my passion to composing music
    has always been there.

But you asked me why not gfx or coding? Well the simplest answer would be cause
I've always felt I'm best at writing music and that's my true passion.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • There are many. The first one was fast tracker 2, which I never liked due to
bad sounds with Sound Blaster compatible older cards. Ive used much Scream
Tracker, although I later converted all Scream Tracker songs to .it format
because of the better stereo possibilities. Software I've used the most is
Impulse Tracker, it is a simple Tracker where all sound cards sounds sound good.

Nowadays I don't make much music with one software only. Today the incomparable
tracker is Noise Trekker 3, that is the only tracker I use nowadays. I also
use other software such as Reason. In the very end I must say the music software
isn't that important the most important are the talents of the writers.

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • I have to say I'm pretty much perfectionist, none of my modules are perfect. I
can't really answer this question naming only one song. In my opinion the best
songs I've ever made are probably Celtic Ruins, Fable and from the old ones
Legend, Fable anyhow is not made with tracker, I've simply played it into
    recording software with my synth.

I never studied music, but I've improved musically pretty much, about Legend
I'm proud of because I was so young and ignorant, what comes to music, those
days. But from modules Celtic Ruins is probably the nearest one where I've
    reached the goal.

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • Well there are several, but usually they are tunes that where never finished.
I still have my first tunes with PC stored in my hd. They are tunes that make me
laugh, but I've never been ashamed of them because I my self can hear from those
songs I had talents before I knew a single thing about music.

Some old tunes irritated me because of their unmelodyness. I've never liked
unmelodic music, cause I see no point in that kind of music.

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • Well, I as a musician and a passionate music listener give much value to game
music. Though the importance of the music depends on the game and the type.
In for example first person shooter games music is much less important than in
    adventure games usually.

After all many game tunes have become real smash hits, for example music's in
Turrican 2 Amiga game made by Chris Huelsbeck.

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • I'm not a professional composer, I study Information Technology and there I
probably find my becoming job. I've always had a dream of composing
professionally, making my biggest passion my work. I still am an active
composer, though mainly I do music to entertain my friends and myself. I've done
some work with music in a sort of an art workshop. There I got to compose music
to real instruments to a music theatre performance as I final job.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • MP3 is a great form in packaging music for everybody to listen. Modules
compress to MP3 well and are so similarly played with everyone and pretty
small to download too. Wav is a good format for samples, no good format for
anything else I thing.. too big. I've always hated midi music there's no sense
in making music to that format it sounds different with everyone.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • From my own tunes my favourites are: Legend, R.I.P. Earth (I made the melody
practically 12-years-old), The Child of Autumn, Fable, Celtic Ruins, Call to
Valhalla, Teardrops and Terra Incognita. Those are probably the ones I listen
the most or I feel I've put the most passion into. There are some tunes I've
made with my friend's or to my friends that are great, but I don't think I
    should put them in here.

In the end I must say the best song is of course always in the future,
unfortunately lately I have lacked time and interest of making it.

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • Well with the current software it would be possible to make without too much
blood, sweat and tears. I haven't had the reason to do that, that's probably
why I haven't done it. I've done one Demo CD called Saga though to some of my
    friends in the past.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listening to?

  • don't listen bands so much, either I follow the latest songs that are on the
top album lists. I like to listen amateur music that I've downloaded for example
from Traxinspace when it was online (really sad it died).

My all time favourite bands are probably Metallica, Maggie Reilly, REM and stuff
like that. Currently I'm listening Sarah Brightman, Santana and much different
trance and melodic heavy metal from several bands. From trackers I like Awesome
and Nightbeat and one of the number one musicians has always been computer
    musician Chris Huelsbeck.

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • Well Amiga gave me the inspiration to music and the way to do music. I feel
the scene is very very important to computer music and especially to tracker
music. I still like to listen old Amiga songs from for example Nectarine radio
    and Chiptune.com.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • I'm active composer, although when Traxinspace went offline with Modplug.com
there are only few songs from me in the web. I've always done stuff from
inspiration nowadays I'm unfortunately lacking it.

In any case scene is very important to me and I really like to stick with it
    in the future if possible.

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • There are few people I would like to greet what comes to music. First my big
brother Toni that pushed me to do music in the beginning. I would also like to
thank the admins of Traxinspace for giving us the channel to publish our music.

All I have left to say is that I live music, and I think the music loves me
    too =)
