  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • I started to be interested in computers in the eraly 80's

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • The first computer I ever had was an Amstrad CPC 6128 but I quickly moved to
an ATARI 1040 STE as I wanted to be more into computer music creation.
Afterwards I bought an ATARI FALCON 030 in order to have more power when
it came to handle sounds and music. Around the same time I bought an Amiga
1200 in order to know what was being done in the demoscene (you really had a
lot at that time!). Right now I am having a Mac Power G4 and a PC.

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • Making music with computer sounded quite evident to me. Music was part of my
    life and so were computers.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • I started composing as soon as I got my hands on a ATARI 1040 STE with the help
of sequencers and trackers. I have used programs such as: Audio Sculpture,
Protracker and later Digital Tracker (great tool on FALCON 030), Pro 24,
    Cubase 3.0 and Cubase Audio.

The tracker I most used when making music for the scene was without any doubt:
    Protracker.

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • In my humble opinion, my best module ever is "Charming Demons"

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • The module that shouldn't have seen the light is: "Doop Doop" as it really is
nonsense. It's some kind of a ripp off from a song that was in charts at that
time, huge samples and no creation.

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • I think that music is really important in a demo. A demo without soundtrack is
tasteless. Pretty much like in a film.

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Nowadays I am composing for Saturne and my music band "EXAGON" on a Mac Power
G4 with Cubase VST 5.1. I have stopped using trackers as I prefer the VST
    (Virtual Sound Technology).

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • I do not think, I listen...

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • There are so many that I can hardly say!

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • Nope

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • Mostly to what people call the "French'Touch"

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • Taste for creation.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • Nope.

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Greet to Vaslow, Réplicateur, Helroy, Alias le tunisien, The Fighter and all
    daddy of the scene
