  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • I had 64 in 1985, first i used to program with basic :-). Then i got
inspired by assembler, i wrote some demos etc. In 1988 i bought my
Amiga 500 and started seriously to code.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • See above.

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • In fact, first i used to code a lot and i've done some gfx too. But music
came and took my mind. I've also played cello, piano and drums, so music
was/is very close to my heart.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • Mainly good old Soundtracker (Protracker, lately), Fasttracker on PC and
of course my own musiceditor -Arpeggiator- (i made player and Mika
    Keskikiikonen wrote the editor).

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • The GOAL is still far away ...

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For What reason?

  • --

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • Very important. If the background music is good, you don't even notice
it ! But if it is bad or there is no music at all ... you certainly
    notice it...

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Mainly for leisure purposes, but i have done few commercial songs for
Virtual Visions Finland Oy and some marketing agencies.
I would like to do it more and professionally, maybe someday.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • They are standards for representing/compressing music, it doesn't matter
which format you use... music in digital form is providing lot of
possibilities: distribution via internet, digital audio signal processing,
good quality of sound etc. But after all, of course the content is the
    most important.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • >From different artists:

Jeroen Tel: Cybernoid 1 & 2, That's the way it is, Deadline
    Rob Hubbard: Commando
    Martin Galway: Ocean loader
    Codex: Memorydust
Bruno: Sonar, Stor och Liten, Uralvolga

+ all the other great songs ;)

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • Surely.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • Pink Floyd, Elton John, David Bowie, ELO, Antiloop.

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • It gave me lot of fun, good friends and programming skills ;)

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • No.

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • I would like to greet everyone i know in the scene.
Also i thank my dear girlfriend Päivi for being such a lovely
    and supportive person.
    Carpe diem! Thanks.
