September 1981 It started in the late 80´s when my dad show me some sounddemos on the Commodore Amiga 1000. He also buyed the Ultimate Soundtracker in 1989, but he didnt use it. In 1992 he buyed a Amiga 2000 and give me his Amiga 1000. This was the start of all :) I still have a C64II, a Amiga 1200 and the Amiga 1000 from my dad. I started composing with the Amiga 1000 in 1993 with the Soundtracker, and switched later to SoundFX1.3, and finally 1994 to ProTracker. First i did tunes just for fun, and later for 2 intros for a reginal Disk selling group, but they were busted by the Police in 1996 (lol) and since then i only make tunes again just for fun and upped them later to modarchive.com. I still searching my old disks for my old tunes. 1993 SoundTracker & SoundFX1.3 1994 - 1996 ProTracker 1996 - 2001 FastTracker 2.08 and ScreamTracker 2.21 (this was my lazyest time) 2002 - 2006 (stopped tracking for 4 1/2 years) 2006 - ???? MilkyTracker, ProTracker2.3d & StarTrekker1.3 hm, hard question.... I still like my tunes created for a Cream intro called "18 Years" on the Amiga. I didn´t like my old tunes from 1993 - 1996 (lol). Yes, some of my old SoundFX tunes.... They sounds today eerie to me (totally detuned samples used) It must be a good one!! A lazy tune in a action game didn´t reach the goal. And about demotunes.... Just listen to Laxity´s Desert Dream tunes - this is a good example of a demotune with a "golden goal" :) Yes, i still composing Chiptunes for my groups "Surprise Productions" and "The Ravebusters". I have composed a so called "muzak" for a commercial. I like MP3 and OGG, because its a standart to share/listen to audio & music. I still plan to convert some of my Chiptunes to MP3 and put it on a musician portal. Yes: The Desert Dream Soundtrack by Laxity, Lotus 2 & 3 Game Soundtrack, Almost all SIDMon & FutureComposer tunes, Bluesong by Karsten Obarski (drilled in my head *g*), Space Debris by Captain and many more... :) Yes, one day :) I didn´t buy Audio CDs anymore, but i still like some 80´s stuff, like: Depeche Mode, Propaganda, Tangerine Dream, Jan Hammer, Giorgio Moroder and some early HipHop & Rap artists, like Public Enemy, Dr.Dre, RunDMC, Rockmaster Scott etc.. I still like to watch the old (and the new) demos, intros, cracktros etc... on my Amiga & C64.... I started on the Amiga and i die on it :) Yes, atm im as musician in Surprise!Productions and The Ravebusters. Greetz to all in S!P (special greetz to NuKe^SiP, daXX, CoRe, tEiS, druid, can, haddoc, BuLL^, ikstar pailes and Psycreator from m00ds plateau). And to the musicians: Chromag, u4ia, Laxity, dubmood, 4mat, heatbeat, Karsten Obarski, Chris Huelsbeck, Rob Hubbard, Frog^JPN (alcohol, aspirin *g*) and audiomonster... You changed my life :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- please note: this interview is ©opyrighted in 2007 by crown of cryptoburners |
