Miss the thing actually. ZX Spectrum 48k w/ cartridge drive, Played "Sabre Wulf".... C-64 w/floppydrive, watching crack-intro's, playing "Thing on a Spring", Amiga 500 540kb HD, started off with graphics with Deluxe Paint II. Got into SounTracker in 1988 and kept on doodling music until i gave up graphics and got into Tracking fulltime. A1200 1,2Gb HD, Tracking and GFX. I'm a airhead, I've no patience for coding. I've made a couple logo's that were pretty good for that time. I've mainly been using SoundTracker, ProTracker (God I've been off my Amiga too long can't remember wich version it was... v4???, and finally DigiBooster. You never reach your goal. Your goal is to continously improve. Your next mod has to better than the last, always. It's like a competition with yourself.. .... Great value. Music makes atleast 50% of the total impression you get from watching a demo. Music is there to strengthen the visuals. Its moodmaking, compare demo's to short films, wich demo's actually are, watch the demo once without the music, and then with the music. You'll notice the huge difference. Also it can make a simply coded demo look awesome, as long as you've always make the demo with the visuals and music depending on eachother. Not everyone does that unfortuneatly, even my group Triumph are horrible at that. Leisure only, never wanted to make my hobby work. Would'nt wan to get sick and tired of the trusty Amiga. It's been a long while now since I did anything, but in time (and money), hopefully I'll purchase a new and improved Amiga. I really miss sitting up night after night in front of the computer, banging away at the keyboard... Midi - Horrible... probably cause I've only heard those midi-covertunes... (baad, man!) However I think quality tools has become available to regular mortals more than it was before where only professionals had the opportunity to purchase over expensive platforms and accessories. Today anybody have the possibility to make anything with a proffessional sound. There's tons to mention, I mean we all love SID's. Otherwise I've always liked HeatBeat's (Finland) work the best. He's great. Azazel also has a cool style, a bit dirty you know? not for release. Always listened to Kiss. The other ones are Faith no More, Mr. Bungle, Naked City, Ministry, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, and all of those 80's heavypuddel bands. Also like alot of hardcore goa-trance, but I've no clue who's who in that genre, except maybe Man With No Name. The scene gave me friends I otherwise wouldn't have met. It also made sure I never got through school. (Too many nights infront of the computer....) But all in all its been great fun. We're a very special kind of breed.. Well, its been a while since I even came close to my A1200 for obvious reasons. Its outdatet, and I can't afford upgrades as of now, hoping to one day though. Let Amiga kill Gates. Everyone in Triumph, Pinnochio, Numen, the Contraz musicians, the Ephidrena musicians and everyone I forgot due to my absense from the scene... sorry! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- please note: this interview is ©opyrighted in 2001 by crown of cryptoburners ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
