  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • Well, in 1986 I guess - it took me a year to persuade my parents to
buy me a c64 - with a green/monochrome screen on which the sound did
not work - I used it for games, not music as you might imagine.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • 2xC64. 1xA500 (should get another one sometime). Today I have a Windoze
PC, A1230 and CBM-64 (good ol' breadbox).

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • I used to take piano lessons when I was a kid, more or less encouraged by my
parents - I more or less hated it since my fingers are extremely clumsy.

But nevethless an interest in music was no doubt started there, and as I've
always been rather lousy at maths and can't draw, music was my scene function
from the beginning. It also helped that I took music at high level when I was
at gymnasium/highschool, now all those years ago.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • ProTracker 2.3 primarily (not the crappy v3-4). But AHX, DIGIBooster PRO, Mod2Smp
on Amiga as well as FastTracker, Sk@leTracker, GoatTracker & of course my new favourite
    MilkyTracker on PC.

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • There's quite a few, I think are good, however I don't really have a specific goal when
composing stuff. The first one was probably "Atomar Fusionsfunk" from '96, then there's
"Shamantra Moods" from the next year, among the chiptunes there's "Unsuspected P" and
"Unsuspected 1P" as well as "Jesus Christensen". I'm generally quite satisfied with most
of the stuff done from 1996-97 and on I guess...

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • Most of my early rubbish and some later rubbish as well. Hear for yourself ;-).

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • It can take it to new levels, it can also spoil it completely. Of course I think
    it's important, I'm a musician god-damned! ;-)

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • I do the odd tune now and then, though it seems I've managed to go so far into my own
inspiration that very few understands or likes my tunes, though I actually more or less
manage to compose them the way I like them. But maybe it's because of my aversion to
spending time on making tunes sound well, clean, elegant - production is not my thing.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • These are just soundformats, who cares - they all have their functions (drop this
    question, Crown, it's lame ;-).

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • Dizzy did good stuff, along with many of his finnish compatriots. There are so many...

    "Banana Split" - Dizzy - "Technolife" - Codex - "Kef demotune 1" - Julius
    "Lost at Home" - Mantronix

    are worth mentioning

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • Nope, I don't think. I hear rumours about a certain someone making an
orchestral version of "Unsuspected P" so maybe that might be of interest?

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • Heavy from the 70s & 80s like Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Motorhead,
Alice Cooper (only for boozing). Muse, Blur, Queens of the Stone Age
Gorillaz, Graham Coxon, Grandaddy, The Mopeds, Beatles, Doors, David Bowie, Madness,
Gogol Bordello, Manu Chao, Suede, The Flaming Lips, Kashmir, Mew, The Coral,
The White Stripes, Radiohead, Arctic Monkeys, Kaizers Orkester, The Stooges,
The Kinks, The Divine Comedy, Dresden Dolls, Depeche Mode ... And plenty, plenty
    more.

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • Friends, fun, a creative and social schooling, I would not be myself without.
And loads of priceless madness of course.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • I pretend to be. Don't let it lure you into thinking that I am though.

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Depth. Everyone I know and have known in the Danish scene as well internationally.
Yes, you ARE too many to mention. If some of my old swap-contacts perhaps want to
send me a mail, feel free - my email is somewhere on this site I'm sure.

    Remember that "DARKHAWK ER SØD".
