I had to have one. It was in 1989, I think. I played a lot of games on it - of course I saw a lot of crackintros - I thought the music in them was great... A C64 - I made some music programmed in BASIC on it. Then I had my A500 for a while. Made a lot of really bad quality shitty music (I still do - just on A1200 in stead :-)) I swapped a bit as well on my A500 - but I stopped during 1993 due to lack of interest, I think. It was fun, and I really enjoyed experimenting with music. I also chose to have music courses at my high school. I ended up being really theretically good at music - the creativeness came along in the end... Protracker from day one - almost.. In the first few months I also tried FutureComposer and SoundTracker.. But PT2.3d has been my choice since 1994. I have yet to reach my goal. My music is evoluting all the time. I'm very satisfied with the series of modules I made called 'Let's go', '47th street' and 'It never ends' ... They really show what style I've always been most attached to. I also enjoy some of my chiptunes - I've made 200 chiptunes.. My first work from 1992 until 1994.. It was all crap - and I even tried to compete in the compo at TP2 - the darn module is still online.. Argh!! Everything. Imagine eg. Desert Dream with some lousy music. It all stinks! Of course, bad code cannot be made good from a good module - but the music combined with timing can make even intermediate code seem good. Still just fooling around. Unfortunately, for the last 2 and a half years, I've made fewer and fewer modules - as my study is quite technical. My creativity is going down the drain, only awakened from time to time, when I fall in love or so... Besides, since I've taken up coding, my spare time goes much in AsmPro also in stead of Protracker/THX... They're good in general. It's nice to know that some of our legends from the old scene are still kicking ass out there using some technologies that make them known for the masses as well as the scene. Bruno/SCUPs classic Polka Tune... A killer! Has been a great inspiration for me. Dizzy's general modernistic Jazz style. He has shown that four tracks can do everything you want them to. He's the greatest. Nopes... I don't have enough variety nor good enough samples in my modules to make them worth listening to... Kashmir, Cassius, Fat Boy Slim, Herbie Hancock ... The latest dance music.... Friends, creativity that none of my fellow students have wehen it comes to computers. The creativity that being a part of the scene has given me, has made one of the better electronic engineers that the world has seen.. .IMHO :-)) Yup... Watch out at Sympoium Mekka 2k-1 Depth... My best friends.. It's more than sex... MS2k-1 crew... For making the best party the scene has... The Danish scene - for still fighting hard to stay alive!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- please note: this interview is ©opyrighted in 2001 by crown of cryptoburners ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
