I got it becouse my cousin (Mat) had one & all the games, demo's & music interrested me a LOT! C64: At first gaming & demo watching, later coding & graphics, music making on this machine really wasn't my thing. Amiga 500/1200: Gaming & demo watching, music & graphics, I tried coding, but it was too complex for me & I didn't have the time to learn the same way I learned for the C64 & I didn't have any reference guides like on the C64. PC: Not much, I want to do too much things at the same time wich results in doing nothing at all. I also tried to continue my music. Maybe once or twice a year I play a game or so. The rest of my time I put into browsing and stuff. Things I want to do: continue coding on my C64, make some music on my PC the same way I did on the Amiga - using trackers! Actually finish my website. and so on - in the end it comes to this: I DO NOT HAVE ENOUGHT TIME! ;) Actually music wasn't the only thing I did (/do), that's the problem why I don't finish any of my work. I code, do graphics & make music On the Amiga I started of with SoundTracker, then NoiseTracker, after that I used the allmighty ProTracker & a little while after that Octamed & Octamed Sound Studio. When I made something new, mostly starting with ProTracker & then finishing the mod in OSS becouse of the extended tracks & commands but between the lines: I only did this once ;) - but was planning to do more, becouse it worked so great. When I get arround to it I'll be using FastTracker on the PC. I have a long way to go, but with my OSS-mod The Dying World" I thought I reached a milestone. Some of my mod's, but one for shure: the first one I ever made. "Blue Mix" argh. - a mix from Blue Monday, it sound terrible! Well, it's the music that creates atmosphere for a demo, but the effect's are the main stars of the event. The best demo's are, when the effect's & the music are in sync. I try to make some more music, but I just can't find the time. If I had the chance to release some of my music on a professional-base, I would have - but I think that time has passed, becouse with the coming of those Magix-musicmaker things - everybody can easely' make music. As if looping is making music, not affending anyone ;) Mostely a Tracker or a sequencer is the base of any mp3 or wave. On the C64 my alltime favourite tune was the (second-)intro-tune of the game "Turbo Outrun" by Jeroen Tel (the tune with the falling letters', second favourite tune was the one in the Turrican -intro. On the Amiga my favourite tunes where especially all the Turrican tunes - they where a real insperation. Other favourite tunes are from "Project X" - I don't remember the exact title of both intro-tunes. Maybe, but again - time is an isue. I like all kinds of music from a classical movie soundtrack to hardcore house. But mainly I am a fan of The Prodigy. Not much - but I did get to know a lot of great people & I had a great time in those days. But to put it blunt, the C64 days where the best. Again - time is the big isue here , but I am working on a small C64 demo (textro actually) for the C64's 20th birthday-meeting in Maarssen / The Netherlands on the 19th October 2002. Greets to the following people I got to know & everyone that supported me in those C64 & Amiga years past. Codeline: Badman, Irem IV, Kubie, TheFox, R.O.Y.
