  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • Well... i guess back in '83 i got my first computer...
I saw the movie 'Electric Dreams' and i liked the idea of my computer
    controlling the house....

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • The first thing i ever had.. was an Atari 2600 then (Dick Smith)
Aquarius then i had a (Tandy)TRS-80 Then a commodore 64 and then an
Amiga 500 and Finally now PC.

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • For me it was a toss-up between GFX and music... i took to music in the end..
and now i'm doing the same thing i was basically doing then... but on a more
    serious and professional level.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • Well on the Amiga i used Noise-Tracker... these days on PC I use Cakewalk
6.1 .. i also use Cubase VST 3.55 (to many bugs) I also work sometimes on
Logic Audio (Mac:Boo-Hiss) and funily enough... i have Fast-tracker on PC too..

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • Hmmm... there was a few.. havn't heard them in years...
    I guess... I'd have to say the betty-boo cover-mod.. i did..
ummm aswell as the smaller ones i did.. for trainer purposes.

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For What reason?

  • Hmm... if i could remember i bet the answer would be yes... = )

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • Well i think it goes hand in hand... A demo/intro without music... is just
so lifeless... half the fun of our (Punishers) demos we're that we're
interactive.. at the time.. some of our intros we're more fun to play
with than the games that they we're on.

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Yes at this point in time.. (29/5/98)I am still composing.. Techno & hip-hop
styled tracks.. writing jingles for radio/TV programs/ads engineering,
programming, producing,DJing & basically anything else i can enjoy.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • Don't like MIDI-mods to much... seems to me as if they're missing the
correct interpretation of sounds they should be used with..
I don't mind Wave's (lot of memory though for good quality..)
I'd have to say that MPEG isn't bad either.. I'm getting into RA at the moment.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • Well my inspiration to make all those amiga mods came from..
New Order's-Blue Monday. Depeche Mode's-Enjoy the Silence.
BDP's-Bo bo bo. and an array of other Amiga muzo's eg.
    Heatbeat-Rebels. Romeo Knight-TRSI.

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • Well i was speaking to an old member of Punishers a few days ago and he
mentioned that we should mix them and release them... who knows..
i feel like i should still be making them for intros and demos.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • Well i listen to alot of Techno these days.. Thomas Heckman, Armand Van
Heldon, DJ Sneak to name a few, if anyone from the scene knows of them i'd
    be quite surprised.

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • A great intuitive sense of where the future was going from then, a head
start on today's competitive workplace. and an adventuress load of fun.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • I wish i was.. but no.. so much has changed.. but i do wish i could be
    writing mods for a group..

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Wal-Finalnd, Badboy-US HQ, Voyager-US WHQ, mekanik-US, Caddy-Where are u? &
all the english nutters we used to have in our group..

If i can just ad.. if anyone out there is looking for music in Fast-tracker 2
(PC Format) or RA audio files, Wave files, please contact me

    [email protected]

Thank you for the interview.. it is good to be remembered for something i
did, when i was so young..
