Date of birth: 25.03.74 A couple of friends had a C=+4, C16, Z81 (or what the names were :) and some old consoles... And I wanted one, too! I think it was my 13th birthday (1987) when my parents bought me a C16 from ALDI i began basic programming a little bit. 1 or 2 years later i got my first C64 and started to compose music at once! Oh, sorry, I answered above.. :) now i have a duron700,256MBram,10GBHDD, Gforce2,terratec dmx soundcard. and certainly still my c64 with cartriges and so on..... I was always interested in music since i can think. my parents sing a lot and my mother was playing guitar a bit. i was at a "music-school" when i was 5years old, had piano lessons, played drums in bands when i was 12 and then guitar and bassguitar... so, music is my life! On C64 I use(d) FutureComposer, VoiceTracker, RoMuzak, X-AmpleEditor (don't know the real name) and some I don't remember... On PC I use(d) WhackerTracker(or so), Fasttracker1 and 2, Jeskola Buzz, Psycle, ...??? I never reach a goal :) Not really, there are songs that remind me of ex-girlfriends in a bad way... I think music in a demo is very valuable! whats a demo without a cool soundtrack? crap! I still compose on PC for both purposes and i am searching for a c64 or PC demo group now, so let me know if you have a job for me :) ( Some are great but it has nothing to do with the art of composing music in trackerstyle. On c64 the game musics from wizball, cybernoid, hawkeye, katarkis monty on the run,... and some c64 demos from blackmail, crest, etc... (Rob Hubbard, Jeroen Tel, Charles Deenen, Chris Hülsbeck, Reyn Ouwehand and certainly Martin Galway are/were the best i think) Demo tunes from second reality (PC) etc. are also really great ! I made an audio-cd with my c64 sids a little bit remastered, it sounds very cool although i used just emulated sound. i will give it to all my friends as a gift, to remember the good old times... perhaps i do a version sampled originally from c64 but i have not much time for that. What a question?!? very much and all stylez of music... i listen to bands like slayer,slipknot,meshuggah... but also to tori amos, tom waits, the beatles, or J.S. Bach! I listen to all noize that sounds interesting.... except the charts and all pop-shit. It means a lot to me, its a big part of my life! i grew up with it, with all the cool sceners, the crackers and so one, i am very proud to know people who are the best coders/hackers/crackers/pixelmaniacs/musicians/... in the world! Not really, only sum c64 fake demos or multichannel/c64 compos. i will be at mekka 2002, if there is one(?) like every year ... c ya there ?! greetz to count zero/scs*trc, greenfrog, ofire, x-raffi, cru, ... and all i forgot! keep the scene ruling! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- please note: this interview is ©opyrighted in 2001 by crown of cryptoburners ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
