  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • Think I was about 12 when I got my first "gameconsole" if you can call it that hehe:) Tried to
explore all aspects of computers after that.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • Got me a C=64 and did some attempts to create with more or less success:p After that I got me an
Amiga500 (god bless Commodore). Moved on to A1200 and 3000 till the scene broke down :( Now i'm
all PC when it comes to computers. Nerf M$!

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • Always enjoyed the music, whether it was Rhythms, Melodies or just the plain harmonics which
seemed as "magic" to me at the time. Couldnt figure out how they did it - and not to mention
what it was all called, no clue about terminology. So most the time I was just fumblin in the
dark and just went with my gutfeeling and kind of "listened to where the song was going" as I
composed it, never knowing what the finished tune would be like. :) As for coding i've always
been weak in mathematics so thats a "given". I did some graphich in early age for Amiga but
mostly just some logos and whatever. Not worth any mention. *Prays no one finds any of it* :D

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • On Amiga it was solely Protracker and the likes. When the 8 channel trackers occured I only got
confused lol. So was pure 4channel all the way. On PC i've been using some of them HD
recorders\mixers. Just never clicked with me and Fasttracker on PC. mostly because I started
playing bass after scene crashed on Amiga. and to create on trackers seemed too restricting for
me. So mostly do "real music" nowadays:)

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • Get Movin' .. Definately, it was my last mod and this was probably the only module I made while
i had reached "counciousness" of music, knowing what I was doing. Might add that we have acctually
played that tune in a funkband I was playing in, live. :D Still have that recording.

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • List would be too long to mention:p *Censored*

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • Well to answer that question with another: "Whats a funkband band without a bassist" ? :D

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Still composing music but now only on real instruments. Mostly leisure but have recorded some in
studios and performed on some conserts & musicals etc. So not exactly making a living out of it.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • Wave and Mp3 for the win! Midi just seems uninterresting to me as I cant handle a keyboard in any
    way lol.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • Guess Dizzy's Girl from Ipanema and a tune known as Blues. Having said that I had the fortunate
of meeting Dizzy in Trondheim on a couple of occasions while we both lived there. weee :D
He is by the way an excellent pianist as of today and a very sympatic and intelligent person! :)
    *Love you Diz*

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • Not really. My music was never in any demand, either back then or now hehe. But then again I
never made music just so people would like it. I tried to make the kind of music I wanted to
    hear. And still do.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • This a trick question? - Well my all time favourite composer/performer are Kenny Wheeler, a
trumpeter/flügelhornist who have made great impact on my melodical/harmonical taste and sence.
It's pure magical jazz. Albums I would like to point out are Algel Song, Gnu High, Deer Wan,
Widow in the Window and many more as I currently have 62 albums where Kenny is either main
composer or a sideman. This might seem strange from a diehard funker. However I have always been
appealed by the melancolic music so this is where that comes from I think.

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • Some friends and lots of memories. But most important of all it gave me a genuine interrest and
facsination for music as I didnt understand any of it back then.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • No. At the moment I dont know of any Scene. So if anyone wants some music for their production
    feel free to contact me.

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Greetings earthlings. Brainbug(we grew up together), Whiskas(thanks mate for always pushing me
forwards that lil extra), Dizzy (respect man), Boo (good wibes, and we still keep in touch, more
or less - lol I think he is a pro designer somewhere in the world. LOVE ftw). Sasha from the
Netherlands was also a very good penpal of mine back in the days, so if you read this Sasha
please contact me mate..:) Man did I love to check my mailbox and find a disc and a letter from
somewhere in the world.. Really gave my creativity a kick:D And ofcourse you, Crown for giving
me the attention I never got back then!
    .
Also check out the site Whiskas made for me : http://www.skarv.net/werner/ some of my latest
music and ideas should be right there:)

Take care all and use your imagination. Peace out.. :)
