My brother had previously been an Atari cracker and I suspect he wanted me to follow in his footsteps. Atari 800xl - just games really Amiga 1200 - music, demos, games An IBM clone (present day) - music, gfx, webdesign, games Around the time I got my 1200 I was heavily into "Jungle" or whatever you want to call it, I had heard a classic in this genre was made on an Amiga, namely "Urban Shakedown - Some Justice". Now, I figured if one tune was made on an Amiga maybe a lot of them were. I decided to work out how it was done, found protracker... you can guess the rest. Protracker on Amiga, dabbled with Octamed. Heh, my first one. "Kick Back". And the ONLY track I ever released to the scene. My goal was really just to prove to my "Jungle" loving mates that it was possible with what I had, and there you have it. The track was finished just in time for the Digital Symposium Party '95 and came joint 6th alongside: "Paul Galbraith - Take What You Want". "Style/Anathema - Funky Trousers". "Witchunter/Debris - Speed-Up". See above. ;) Insurmountable. Music can make or break a demo or game. I am disappointed I didn't get the opportunity for one of my tracks to appear in a demo. At this moment I'm taking a timeout from composing. I'm currently acting as "engineer" for a friend who I used to write with. Until now I haven't stopped writing tracks, don't let that one release fool you, I'm just never happy with my tracks and at the time of my involvement with the scene, I didn't see fit to release anything else. monotonik/mono211 are dropping some seriously good pieces of music from (ex)sceners. its a force to be reckoned with :). Too hard to answer that one, there's so many. Unlikely, as all my scene tracks (unreleased) were lost. But look out for some new stuff. After the current project is finished. :) All the Mo'wax crew All the Pork Recordings crew A lot of Drum and Bass (Misc) Brian Eno Handsome Boy Modelling School Some of that "Hip-Rock" sound, shit admittedly but good in a "get me buzzin'" kinda way Anything good :) A lot of friends, even if some of them were "single serving" Nope. Shoutz to: Kei and all the Carnage boys. All Eltech crew. Wilsh. Bliss. Reflex. Maverick. All the guys I traded with, sorry but my memory ain't what it used to be. and on the darkside... Violator. Peace, and if any of my old mates read this... get in touch boy! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- please note: this interview is ©opyrighted in 2001 by crown of cryptoburners ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
