If my calculator is working, then it will be '80/81.. :)) I got my first computer at that time, a commodore VIC-20! :) Well, first of all I got my VIC-20, I started to look at BASIC, which I found quite interesting in fact.. But, I got bored of this basic, cause I always managed 2 code big projects, which resulted in a "Out Of Memory" :) I sold this one after a few yrs.. Then I advanced 2 a C=64.. Where I started 2 look at ASM, and basic 2.. I coded a few intros using ASM, made some cool utilities.. Then I sold it, and bought me an Amiga 500, this must have been in '84-85 or something.. Still I did the best I could, yes.. Programming.. Both BASIC and ASM.. But, got fed up with ASM, started 2 code in AMOS.. :) (WOW).. I don't know or can't remember why I advanced from an Amiga500 to A500+, but I did.. After a few years, advanced 2 something more powerfull, yes.. An Amiga 1200! :)).. Now, I had it all !:).. Until I sold it, and bought myself an Amiga 4000, which I have 2 day! :).. I have also bought myself a PC (AMD K6-II/400MHz).. At this very moment, I'm still coding, and I do believe I always will.. When it comes to the Amiga, and what language I'm using there 2 day, I would like to tell u that I'm coding using AmigaE and when it comes 2 fast routines (Inline ASM) I use some ASM.. On the PC I'm coding JAVA, and I'm looking at C++.. Puh!.. Am I finished now? ;) Well, sometimes when ppl get tired of just doing one thing, they want to explore other things.. So, I started 2 have a look at Protracker, or Noisetracker/soundtracker at that time.. And I found it quite interesting.. I still do pounch on a few notes in a tracker, but.. Not for keeping! :) As I mentioned in the previous question, I have dealed with Protracker / NoiseTracker & SoundTracker.. I have also had a peek on FastTracker.. But, I always go back 2 ProTracker, cause I really love it.. :) I must admit that I haven't composed 2 many tunes, but I do believe my goal was reach when I composed "Holliday II".. Nope.. I can't think of any.. *A moment of silence* Well, if I really think hard enough.. Then I can tell u that I had one tune that I composed, but, I don't recall what it was called.. Anyway; The tune sucked, and was a down wind after composing "Holliday II" :/ The drumset I used where awefull, so was everything else.. If I ask myself this question, my head bounches up and down.. If there wasn't any form of music in the demo/intro/game what ever, it would have been borring.. Sometimes the music is the best, which makes the intro/game/demo some kind of cooler 2 watch/play.. Cause eighter u get this luring though that someone is hidding between those bushes, or u know that something is going 2 happend, cause u can hear.. And FEEL the music flowing through your vains.. So, games/intros/demos without music suxx!!.. Well, sometimes when I feel I have 2 take a break.. Not really to compose a new tune, but, just 4 fun.. Just feeling the music/notes, if u know what I mean.. :)) When it comes to such formats, I do believe that mpeg is cool, and it's pretty fast 2.. Even though, I watch/hear them on my PC.. But, If I want 2 just relax, and take it easy.. I start up WinAmp, and I start selecting all my MP3 files, and start playing.. Then I can do what ever I want while I'm listning.. Other formats; - hmmmm.. Well, I don't actually listen 2 other formats.. Even though.. Music done with these kind of formats are normaly quite good.. On of my favorite tunes must be "Face Another Day" composed by Jogeir Liljedahl.. A quite good compotion if u ask me.. Next must be "Guitarslinger".. No, I don't think so.. Or, I haven't been thinking 'bout it actually.. I'm an ALL kind of music lover.. So, I actually hear them all.. I don't have any fav ones eighter.. But, I do believe there are a few, and me not know about it.. So, this is really a hard question asked.. :) Well, not really!! The Amiga/C64 scene gave me alot, I came in contact with alot of cool ppl, which I still have contact with.. It also gave me all I needed for my needs.. So a very big thanks 2 all the ppl that made the scene stay alive.. Well, I do code alot, and since I'm a member of a group, I would think me as a very active person within the scene.. With limits of course.. I work a lot these days, and I don't have to much time in spare 2 make the scene even better.. But, I still doing my best.. I get this strange feeling that I'm doing it know with this interview? :)) Yeah, I wanna send some greetings to the following ppl: Lizard/TBL, Zack/SPB, Curt Cool/Depth, Crown/CRB, Ren/Depth, Tokai/SEA, Loyd/SEA, Ramonster/DC, Mixer/DC, TC/DC, Wiking/DC, to all the members of Oops! and 2 all I haven't included in this list, cause of lack of time.. Anyway; C u all on tha scene! :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- please note: this interview is ©opyrighted in 2001 by crown of cryptoburners ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
