It was a ZX Spectrym 48K. That's when I started. Fisrt was my Specrtum. I made horrible beep music and a drum machine program on the ZX. Then I bought a C64 and a FM-synth expansion + a keyboard. That was when it started I guess. I made some songs on the C64 machine. After that I bought myself a Amiga 500. That was the turningpoint. I think it was 1987 I got my hands on a tracker. I didn't understand how it worked at first so it took me about 1-2 days before I started composing. First song ever to be composed in a tracker was "mod.firefox". I have been making music since I was 5 years old. And gfx is not really my thing. I don't have the interest to become a coder, or had the interest. Music was the thing I was best at. All different kinds of trackers. ProTracker the most if I recall it right. Final Hyperbase. Many others have copied the style. For example "Stardust Memories". A geat tune at that. In my oppinion. Not that I can think of. Some are good and some are bad. But all of them i consider like my little babies. They are apart of me. They are my creations. The value of music in a demo is alot. But if you have great music with bad coding and gfx you really don't want to watch it. It should be a great combination of all three. And the presentation of course. For the moment I'm just about to build my own studio. I have bought myself a dual 2,7 Ghz Mac G5 with Logic 7 pro. And yes I do compose music on my PC aswell. But I like to go professional again as I was doing back in 1995. I produced and wrote a couple of songs for some artists here in Sweden. If you refer to the demoscene. There is a great number of nice tracks. I wish I had the Dual G5 back in the good old days. That would have been fun. There is one song that has always been there. "Klitsche pa Klitsche" I think it's called by Walkman. That one was really a good song. But there is so many different songs that has been in my life from the demoscene and some games. Yes I am. I started with a remake of Final Hyperbase. It isn't done yet but I really want to make my own favourites in a remake CD. That would be really fun. I also want to make a tribute to the ones i like the best of other composers. At the moment I listen to alot of music, Mostly Trance. But alot of pop and R'n B aswell. It has given me many great moments and I have met alot of nice people. Great composers that still to this date are active in making music. I'm not active in the demoscene. I would like to say thanks to all you who have voted for me over the two decades. Who have played my music and liked it. I would like to say hello to many composers like Mantronix, Tip, Twins, Uncle Tom, Laxity, SLL, Luxor, Lizardking, Romeo Knight & Walkman etc. And all the guys who made the scene and kept it alive. We had great times, really great times. Take care and be safe. Best regards to all of you out there. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- please note: this interview is ©opyrighted in 2005 by crown of cryptoburners ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
