  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • My interest started back in 1988 when I was a 9 year old boy who simply
felt the urgent need for a computer, which happened to be an Amiga 500.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • The Amiga 500 was my first, lateron I happened to buy a C128 and a C64,
too, but both were sold very quickly (since I liked the A500 so much better).
After selling my A500 I upgraded to an A1200, while also buying an A600
(because they were so incredibly cheap here in Germany - something about 150$).
    In 1993 I bought my first PC - a 486-25-SX. I upgraded my A1200 with an
68030/50 accelerator card some time after, too. In 1995 I bought a new
PC - a Pentium100. This one's been sold in 1998 and replaced by an
AMD K6-2-300. In 1999 I bought a PowerPC card for my A1200, but sold it
again for losing my interest in the Amiga. Nowadays I use the K6-2 PC mostly,
but I still got the A600, A1200-030 and the 486 PC.

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • I only composed music with my friend Steil (who is an excellent guitar player).
Actually I am not composing music but became an editor (producing Seenpoint,
one of the most famous Amiga demoscene magazines).

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • Only ProTracker (V3.15 I think)

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • As we (me + Steil) never took it that serious, we never wanted to reach any
particular goals. Covering Metallica songs in chiptunes style was fun!

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For What reason?

  • I do not think so.

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • It makes the demo! The music gives you the most atmosphere. My favourite
    element of demos, for sure.

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • No, I am not. Only playing a bit guitar in real life from time to time.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • Honestly I do not like it. From a musician's point of view it certainly is
great, but I feel cheated. It reminds me of "just sampling and putting together"
    than composing.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • Oh, I do not know that names of the songs, just demos that I like the music
of e.g. Love/VD, Shaft7/Bomb, Captured Dreams/TBL and many many more!

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • Nope.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • My alltime favourites are Depeche Mode, but currently I mostly listen to
bands like Bush, Creed or Stone Temple Pilots (I like synthpop as well as
    heavy metal).

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • It was an extraordinary time! A lot of fun, great competition and cool people!

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • Sort of, holding contact with my group and doing our homepage
    (www.amigascne.org/scoopex)

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Greets to all the people in Scoopex, all Seenpoint readers and the
    entire Amiga scene.
