At first I was attracted by video games that were developping fast. Later that year I met AJT that was a member of HEMOROIDE on Atari and he became my friend. He showed me Soundtracker and I was hooked as I always wished to compose musics. I started on Atari under the group MJJ, but I did not do anything with them at that time as I left the group before they actually released their first big releases. Later on I joined DUNE and I started to work hard on a demo entitled GOBITOONS. I also did the musics for the Amiga group named Intense for a soundplayer. As stated earlier, musical creation was a an early desire. I anyway started doing graphics and code later on but without too much enthusiasm. My capacities in coding were below the sea level. On the other hand my gfx weren't so bad! All available Sountrackers. Then I started composing with real instruments (guitar, bass, piano...) and I created to compose tracks with the help of professional midi tools such as Cubase, Audiologic, Soundforge... My goals has always been to have fun. With that aim each of my musics was a reached goal. I was once ashamed of some of my early tunes as I did not know much about composing at that time. Nowadays I have a strong nostalgic feeling when I listen to some of them. It is as important as anything other components as it holds a lot of emotions, feelings, etc... just like graphics or code effects do. It makes it possible to get code and gfx in harmony with rythm. Nowadays, more and more game creators know how important a good music is and it is no longer left aside. At the moment, after more than 10 years of doing nothing for the scene, I joined MJJ back in order to get the group back on tracks. I am also composing for leisure with real instruments. I Myself don't use those sound formats as they compress the musics and that defintely affects the sound quality. I can't really say much on that matter anyway. Frankly I dont remember their name anymore as I have been so long away from the demo scene. I might do that in some years. But it won't have anything to do with my scene musics. I have a pretty wide range of bands. From heavy metal, jazz, funk, rock to classical music. I especially like heavy metal bands such as METALLICA, Joes Satrianie, Steve Vai..... A lot of nice moment with my friends and the chance of creating a demo group. Sure thing. hello to potatoes and "cassoulet" !!!!!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- please note: this interview is ©opyrighted in 2005 by crown of cryptoburners ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
