  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • It was in 1983 when my older brother bought a C64 and he gave me his
    Sinclair ZX80.
Think! Only 1KB to write programs!

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • My first own machine was a C64 in 1986 which was replaced in 1987
    against a Amiga 500.
I programmed a lot on the C64 espacially a fast loader with only 2 blocks
was one of the best things I ever did. When I started an the Amiga there
where nothing to develop programs with, so I just where an average user
at the beginning. My brother Lynxx became the C64 when I got the Amiga
and at the end of 1988 the Amiga also because I went to the military
    service.
In 1990 I bought a Amiga 2000 which I sold in 1994 and replaced it against
    a Amiga 3000 Tower.
I did a lot of things with this machines. Mainly I had a mailbox called
    Foxx's Den.
Early in 1995 I sold this very nice A3000T and stopped all Amiga activities
due to the unclear situation about the Amiga. Another reason was because
99% of my job included PC related stuff.
And so still does. I have a very nice job and my favourite system is Linux
    - what else.

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • Haha - I did all of that to but I wasn't that successfull doing all that
stuff. I think my best position was leading and managing a group, which
I did in PANIC and later THE SILENTS also.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • ProTracker, ProTracker and ProTracker. Did I mention ProTracker?

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • Most times a module wasn't made for something specific. Most times the code
was built around the sound. I made a series of modules for a girl called
Alekzandra which really expressed what I wanted to.

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For What reason?

  • There is a demo called "vector-birds". It's PANICs second demo. This
includes the first music I ever made. It's no masterpiece ;-) but I do
like the ending theme which is included in this module too.

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • Do you know thoose films where you hear the soundtrack of and realise that
you can't remember where you heard it in the film? Like Titanic - music
can create emotions, action and reactions.
I think the same can be said about games. A good sound can amplify the
    visual effect.

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • No. Since I left the Amiga Scene I stopped all activities.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • MPEGs are really nice. Midi is not bad but only as good as your Midi
device. The rest eats up to much memory or the quality is to bad or
    non-standard formats.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • Mh, that's a good one. I love most of the tunes of Dr.Awesome aka Bjorn
    Lynne (see http://www.lynnemusic.com/).

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • No, not at all.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listening to?

  • Nothing special. I do like the german radio station SWR3 and it's music.
I do like Vangelis very much.

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • A lot of fun, a lot of friends, a lot of things that will never come
back but I will remember forever.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • No, is there any? I guess the internet has washed away most of the
    good old days.
E.g. I stumbled over some pages which are told to be the official
    Eurocharts homepage.
Mh, Eurocharts where one of the best but these pages look like they
wheren't updated for ages. I even cannot remember the URL.

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Yep, here's your problem. There are so many friends around the globe that I
find some footsteps here and there from time to time. But I lost contact
mainly because I've moved to another place in germany in 1994 - nearly
the same time I stopped my activities.
So I do great all that should get a very BIG HELLO from me. I cannot
remember all, so I do only name a very few that I haven't met since
long: Lithium, Scorpio, Midi Messiah (who renamed later to P...?),
Foxx (in South Africa), Freddy K., Slough, all (ex?) TSLs up in the
scandinavian woods ;-), all the guys from turkey, hong kong, australia,
austria, brasil, portugal, italy, bahrain, u.k., u.s.a, canada,
germany of course and elsewhere I cannot remember.
Get a playstation for playing, a Linux machine for doing your work and a
    wife for living!
