  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • I've been interested in computers and electronics since I can remember.
There is no specific reason. I think I got my first computer in 1985.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • First I had a spectravideo SVI-318 with 32k RAM. I played games and did some
primitive programming. I upgraded to MSX SVI-728 for more of the same, this
time with 80k RAM (gasp!). I remember programming the oscillators for odd
bleeps, whines, whistles whatevers and reading analog synthesizer theory in
the library. Of course i couldn't miss the C64's most other people had.. :)
In fact I spent so much time at friends I didn't even think of trying to get
one for myself at that time, there was this thing called the PC which could
run flight simulators, you see :) I scraped money to buy a used 286/12 + a
soundblaster card from a friend.. that's when music heaven started. (Well
I did play SOME missions of Falcon A.T. in between..)

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • Pssst. I did do coding as well. :) I see myself as both a musician and a coder.
I've been studying music since a kid. Music comes naturally for all inviduals I
think. It's like a language that all people can understand, since it operates
on a level more basic than speech.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • The first program was NoiseTracker on a friend's Amiga. I did something for
adlib with a sequencer which name I can't remember. The first program I used
on PC was ModEdit. I tried screamtracker 2.something and other various
trackers that popped out like mushrooms during rain at the time, ended up
liking FastTracker 1 the most was happi with that for a long time and then
progressed to FastTracker 2 when it was introduced. Then started the age of
MIDI, sequencers and synthesizers, that's what I'm still doing.

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • Mostly with none at the time. Listening to some later on I would say I liked
    tunes like 12-4.MOD

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • I guess there would be some.. Mainly those for which I ripped samples..

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • Music is an indistinquisable part of a total experience. An experience without
music is quite a different kind of an experience, seen?

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Yes, even sneeking some composing hours from work (shhht! quiet). Done some
television bits and beats. Playing some Drum'n Bass at parties and clubs
lately too.. One EP released a few yars ago, called "Ihmerohto"

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • I like some music and hate some.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • Horns of Jericho and Out of Space from the Prodigy. My Kingdom from FSOL,
Camel bobsled race by Dj Shadow. M5 from Maurizio. Phylypstrak from Basic
    Channel.

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • I'm not going to re-release any .MODs. My new stuff is better.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • There are too many to list or remember, but here are some :

Ganja Crew, Bad Company, Jonny L, Decoder, Special K, DJ Hype, Future Cut,
A-Sides, Lemon-D & Dillinja, Technical Itch ... for jungle, Shpongle, Texas
Faggot, Omituisten Otusten Kerho, System7, orbital, rastaliens, Shiva Space
Technology, Cosmoon ... for trance, Ozric tentacles, hidria spacefolk, the
grateful dead... for psychedelic vibes, Leftfield, Adam Freeland, Aquasky,
Plump DJ's + many more... for lower bpm breakbeat. And some favorites over
the years: FSOL, Orb, Aphex Twin, Autechre .. and Brothom States

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • I wasn't at all in the amiga scene, and only released one c64 demo. I think
there nice and funnny people in both scenes nevertheless.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • Released an intro a half a year ago at Assembly 2k1, It's called etyyliefekti
    (e-tyyli.zip), check it out.

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • I send respect out to da HiRMU posse, Orange crew, TPOLM, CNCD, Byterapers,
MFX, Halcyon, Coma, Haujobb, Threestate, Paradox and Zone, whoever the Fudge
and Acme groups were and Melon f**king Dezign
