  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • Of course, it was many years ago... so I don't remember exact date. I
know that was before I bought my first machine. That was time when C64
rule the world (my small world).

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • First that was C-64, and what I did? Playing games. Later, I tried to
simple programming, but when I bought Amiga(600), again any creative
activity was stopped for games. :)

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • Because it comes easy for me. Before start composing, I tried to use some
programs, among others gfx programs, but I leave it fast. Effects which I
could to reach with it, didn't satisfy me. Then I tried something else -
Protracker. Using it I felt good and then I decided to write more and more
modules so long as it nessesary to be better. Maybe that was something
more? Maybe I need to express my emotions by this was?

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • Now I'm using two programs. DigiBooster 2.21 and SoundProbe. The most part
of work (it means - composing), I'm doing on DBpro. SoundProbe is used for
filtering samples, sequences which later I use in modules. Now I'm trying
to improve the quality of final production (music mixed in 16 bit, 44.1 KHz
    sample)on SoundProbe too.

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • There is no music which comply with terms of good piece. Maybe I'm
never-satisfied musician who continually tries to reach higher and higher?
Maybe... But I don't see anything wrong in that, so you see...

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For What reason?

  • It isn't easy to explain too. I don't taking my music to serious so I
can't say about my modules "Och... that was terrible... I don't want to
remember it!". I'm leaving it, and trying to do something better next time :).

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • It depends. If music is only background for effects, I think it (music)
should be at least on middle level (nothing special, but good to listen).
However I prefer productions in which music and effects going together and
it makes complemet entirety. But it requies much more of work...

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • Due lack of time my productivity are very low. I think it's lack of time.
Or... end of invention? hehe... no, I don't think so. I'm still trying to
do something new and better, but I don't want yet to write
proffessional/commercial music. Music is still my own fun.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • It's not important what source of music it is. Mpeg, wave? There is no
practical difrences, we always can convert mpeg to wave and back. But I
think, there is one important reason to do mpeg music. Every problems with
play various tunes(like mod, DBM, IT, XM and else)whispering and everybody
can listen to music exactly like composer wanted it.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • Hmmm... its difficult to specify. I don't want to reply at this question.

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • Yes. I think or better, we think about it. As we I mean I and Jazzcat.
When it happens? We don't know...

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • It's good question, because question contains word "currently". Ok, well,
start: GUSGUS, FSOL, Underworld, Pj Harvey Tori Amos, Air, Hextatic, Bjork,
Autechre, King Crimson and a bit of Megadeth, Tool and some other not
electronic music for a change. :)

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • I think this is: Friends, and a bit creative atmosphere among people who
want do to something more than eating, sleeping and watching TV...

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • Yes, I think so. Still I like to do some more

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Yes. I'm greeting every people who read this text, and understand huge part
of it... sorry for my english.
