Which year was when Omega Race was released... Hmmm, some years ago? ;D I had Sega SC-3000 (it's still somewhere). I played a lot of games with that machine. Also tried some basic and beep-sounds. Then I got C64. I played even more then. I bought tens of original games, like Jack The Nipper, Cobra, Yie-Ar Kung-Fu 2 and many more. Then I started to like all those cool crackintros from Fairlight, Stack and Byterapers Inc. Cool sounds and effects. Some swapping at that time with couple dudes. Then arrived year 1988 and I got Amiga 500. We had a group for some time, called 'The Megastars'. I swapped, learned some DPaint and Soundtracker. One of my tunes was released in Megastars intro and Team-X used some of my gfx. And now I have had Amiga 1200 since 1993. I also bought C64 and have made 3 tunes so far. I like it more than making gfx or coding. I liked making logos but not real gfx, too hard for me. And there was time I tried some coding but didn't like that. Too much brainwork for me. So far, on Amiga I have used Sound FX (1st composing program I had. I did some tunes with it and I've lost them), Soundtracker, Protracker and AHX which was formerly known as THX. On C64 at the moment I use Demo Music Creator. Particulary I use AHX. But I start composing on Protracker and DigiBooster Pro as soon as I get my own synth! Well, that module will be in the future :) Some my crappy Protracker tunes (actually all of those) and a few AHX tunes. They suck ;) It's pretty important for the atmosphere. I wouldn't watch a demo or play a game for long if there wouldn't be a music or sound effects. It would be REALLY boring. Yes, I'm still composing but I'm a really lazy composer as I have always been :) Just for leisure purposes on my Amiga and C64. I think I'll be more active if I would get a synth. I don't have much to say about this. MP3 is pretty good standard for example to spread own 'real' music. And it's quality is pretty good mostly. There are many! One of my absolutely favourite song is title music from C64 game 'Supremacy', made by Jeroen Tel/Maniacs Of Noise! Just so FANTASTIC! Also his 'Rubicon' title is great! On Amiga I remember 'Banana Split' by Dizzy, 'Stardust Memories' by Jester. It would be a huge list al my favourite tunes so I won't write down more. I'm just a module fanatic who likes mostly tunes with great melodies. No! Atleast the songs I have made so far. It is ofcourse possible in the future when I make some cool songs of my own, heh :) Plenty of them... Savage Garden, 3some, Beastie Boys, Offspring, Rasmus, CMX and alot more! It has given worldwide frieds and many other things. I got very good marks on English in high school and commercial college. I wouldn't be that good without all those letters to contacts etc. Yes, for sure! No plans quitting. All people who know me or have known me and people who still believes in amiga. And all musicians, keep on trakcin'! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- please note: this interview is ©opyrighted in 2001 by crown of cryptoburners ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
