  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • I've always had an interest in computers from the day my dad borrowed my Uncles
game console and it was a black and white version of Pong. I was about 4 at
the time and I honestly remember playing it with my sister, not very well mind.

My first computer was an Atari 130XE back in 1985 for my 9th birthday and I
started with the mags of "Atari User" typing in the code listings for computer
games. The first game I typed in was "Ski Run". I then started collecting
computer games for it and that was it. Then in 1989 a friend of mine got an
Amiga A500 and that was it, I had to get one. So a year later in 1990 my
parents brought me an Amiga A500. A few months later there was a copy of
SoundTracker on CUAmiga, that was it, I was hooked.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • Atari 130XE for games.
Amiga A500 to start tracking followed by an Amiga A1200.
    Pentium P100 with FastTracker
Pentium P2-350Mhz with FastTracker but I stopped in 1999.
    AMD 1.4Ghz / M-Audio Delta 66 / Cubase.

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • Basically I had a copy of SoundTracker from CUAmiga's cover disk with a few
    mods on it.

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • SoundTracker, Protracker, MelonTracker, FastTracker and now Cubase SX.

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • None. Most of my music was crap. I lost all my tunes a long time ago and its
once since I've been able to track them down again through #ukscene and
#amigascne and your great website I realised how bad I was. Never mind, you
    learn. :)

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • All of them ?!?! :)

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • I think its very important that the tune blends in well to the style of demo,
but I hardly watch any demos these days so maybe things are a lot different now.

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • I've started tracking in Cubase SX :). I'm starting from scratch with a Virus B
and some VSTi drum machines and I'm heavily into Trance and Chillout. I'm hoping
to get some work done this winter after all the studying I've been doing over
    the summer.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • Midi is pants to be honest, I hate it. If there was a way of "protracker"-ing in
Cubase then it would be great. Mpeg is the standard for today but it looks like
it'll change tomorrow and .wav is just too much disk space. :)

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • There's a few so I'll list them:

Turrican 2 title tune .. no comment.
Romero Knight - Cream of the earth - a classic.
    Virgill - Interference - amazing.
Dreamfish and Jozz's chip tunes - you really have to listen to them.
Norwegian musician - mod.monday - still remember that now from the crack intros.

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • One day maybe, but I'd probably do vinyl tracks though rather than commercial
    cd's. :)

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • Roysloop, Chicane, PvD, Tiesto, Armin, Ferry Costen, Pink Floyd and BT

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • Friends and fun. That was what it was special for.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • Nope

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Everyone who knows me. Hi! And drop me a line! Bye! :)
