  • 1-How did your interest for computers start? Which year was that?

  • on Christmas 1983 my father bought me a Commodore64, and that's where all
    started.

  • 2-What machines did you previously have? What did you do with them?

  • 1983-1992 Commodore64: mainly playing videogames
    1992-1994 CommodoreAmiga: tracking, videogames
    1994-... PC: tracking, programming, writing

  • 3-For what specific reason did you end up making music rather than gfx, coding?

  • I'm a disaster as a graphician. Passion for music just appeared suddenly at
about the age of 16, then I asked a videogame reseller for a music program
for beginners, and he gave me Startrekker (1993)

  • 4-Which composing programs have you been using? Which one in particular?

  • 1993-1994: Startrekker1.3
    1994-1996: FastTracker1
    1996-2002: FastTracker2
    2002-... : ReNoise

I've abused of quite every feature in FastTracker2. ReNoise is new so has
    still much to be discovered.

  • 5-With which module did you feel you had reached your goal?

  • Thought (1994)
    Need to Suffer (1997)
Warm Jazz Soup, Total Control 2 (1998)
La Terra e il Tempo (2002)

  • 6-Is there a tune you would like not to remember? For what reason?

  • probably that 2-3 modules I've made when I was helping a friend of mine who
was a beginning DJ, during 1994. I hate doing remixes and mainstream music.

  • 7-In your opinion, what's the value of a music in a demo, game?

  • the music in a demo could turn a weak serie of imagines in something which
makes you will remember. It's aim should be to mark up what you already
    should feel with images.

I hate making music for games so I won't reply to the second question.

  • 8-At present, are you still composing? For professional or leisure purposes?

  • yes I'm still making music for my exclusive pleasure, though sharing my
works with everyone interested through my site.

  • 9-What do you think of today's pieces of music such as mpeg,wave,midi,etc...?

  • I'm releasing my modules as OGG files since I'm making them with ReNoise for
which there isn't an eternal player yet.

Any other media is of no interest to me.

  • 10-Could you tell us some of your all times favourite tunes?

  • "10 Light Years from Earth" by NeuRoTiX
    "Dreaming Metal" by prof
    "Maximalism" by MickRip
    "Anticipate the SunRise" by Trente-Trois

  • 11-Are you planning to make an audio cd with some of your music remastered?

  • I'm already doing it since 1996. Each year, I record songs on CDs and give
them for free to friends and fans.

  • 12-What bands are you currently listenning to?

  • mainly italian progressive rock bands (Area, Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, ..),
Death, people from Tokyo Dawn Records.

  • 13-What does/did the amiga/c64 scene give you?

  • when those scenes were really alive, I didn't know anything about them. I'm
happy to see that they are still living, though.

  • 14-Are you still active in the scene these days?

  • Yes, definitely.
I've just come back from BreakPoint demoparty (held in Germany) 2 hours ago.

  • 15-Anyone to greet? Anything left to say? Feel free...

  • Music shouldn't be a product to sell for mass-feeding.
My music is necessary to me to express some feelings I wouldn't express in
other ways. Who wants to listen to it, it's free to do it, the others would
    listen something else.
